Nightshift 33: Activities Shed
[ from here. ]
The inside of the shed was dark and dusty, and Kairi found herself coughing and sneezing within moments of entering the small room. Moving her flashlight around slowly, she made sure that there was nothing in the room – that she could see, anyway – that would jump out and attack them.
“Coast is clear!” She called back out to her friend, waiting for him to get inside quickly so they could plan the next step of their job.
So far, so good. Kairi only hoped their luck would continue on through the rest of the night.

"There should be some bats around here that you can use," he said, using his own flashlight to look around. It wasn't long before he spotted some.
"There!" he said, quickly maneuvering around the different equipment in order to get to them. "Hmm..." He looked them over, scratching at his head as he considered. "Do you want a wood one or an aluminum one?" He was still kind of iffy about the idea of Kairi having a weapon, but it was a lot better than her being completely unarmed.

Who knew what they would be up against if they got out of the asylum walls?
Moving away from Sora after having peeked over his shoulder, Kairi proceeded to move slowly through the shed, looking at this and that for a moment before speaking once again. “Do you think there’s anything else we could take? I have pockets, so I could shove things in them …” not to mention she also had the bag that was attached to her belt. That could come in handy.

As for anything else they could take, it was hard to say. A lot of it was too big for them to carry, but there were a few things that caught his attention.
"Maybe some of these helmets or pads?" he suggested, moving his flashlight over them so she could get a better look. "It might cut down on soreness." Like the way he was feeling now after forcing the door open, for instance. Not that he really planned on wearing any of this stuff himself - he was more thinking that it might be a good idea for Kairi.

The mention of a helmet had the girl frowning seconds later, and she sighed. “I’m not wearing that, if that’s what you’re getting at. I’d say I’d only wear one if you did …” a pause, and Kairi giggled, taking a few steps back from Sora as she looked around the shed once again. “But I don’t think you could with your hair.”
Now that they were done, they could get back on with their job of trying to get over with for the night. Turning back towards Sora, Kairi rested the bat against her shoulder, free hand still grasping onto the flashlight. “Are we ready to go?”

He ran a hand through his hair and laughed at her comment before nodding and heading back out of the shed. It might be kind of hard for Kairi to climb anything when she was trying to hold both a bat and a flashlight, but they would figure something out.
