Nightshift 33: M35, Clinic

Tamaki was still awed and touched that Ritsuka had set up the clinic for him. He... well, he'd stay alert and up and as focused as possible until Raine showed up. And anyone else. He remembered Kratos had said something about not being able to make it....

They really did need more healers and doctors. Maybe during the day he could hold classes in first aide or something, and anyone who wished to help could come. Yes, that was something he could focus his mind on. That was good.

He struggled out of bed, eyes still feeling hot and itchy from crying, and opened the door with another small smile directed at his roommate.

From the sound of the intercom, something was happening tonight. Maybe he should ask Ritsuka to stay after all.....

"Mm... 's nice," the bounty hunter replied to Namine. Falis shifted a little as she tried to get more comfortable, one leg ending up on her friend's lap in the process. She placed her hand on top of the sword, the motion very similar to what a child would do with a security blanket, and a small smile touched her lips.

A couple seconds later and the princess started to snore. "ZZZZzzzzZZZZZzzzz..."

"Naminé," The witch smiled. "Thank you very much, Raine." Naminé was truly grateful that Raine was setting aside time to stay in this clinic, and she felt like she should have offered something in repayment.

"Ah, I was wondering. I have some medication and bandages in my room, but I really have no use for them. I really don't know what they do, but maybe you could use them? As repayment for helping my friend." It sounded like a good trade-off; after all, nothing came free and Naminé really wasn't using her items anyway.

Raine smiled slightly in return; Naminé reminded her somewhat of Colette. It might have been just homesickness that made her make the comparison, but it didn't matter. The girl was just as gentle and caring as the Chosen, from what she'd seen. "I'd say so. We have people helping us stay supplied, but I still prefer to stay on top of things as much as possible."

She would have said more, but movement near the door caught her eye; she turned and froze for a second. What was that woman doing here? It was obvious she was hurt, but Raine was not always the gentle, kind healer.

"Excuse me," she managed, then went to put the bandages she still had back... and take a syringe to fill with the painkiller she didn't even like having. She wasn't above using tactics she'd had used against her by any means.

[Going down again!]
