Nightshift 32: M61 - M70 Hallway
In all honesty, Tyki hadn't exactly expected what had happened during dinner. Though it was definitely strange to have woken up in his white side this morning, he hadn't given it too much thought beyond his initial surprise. It had probably something to do with his white side being a laid-back bum, but it simply hadn't come to mind just yet.
It happened after he had finished his dinner, when he was searching his room for something useful while the sun was about to set. The Noah within him had been dormant all day, as it usually was when he was in his human side. But something had changed all of a sudden, which was enough to make Tyki pause as he searched the closet. He knew what was going on, all too familiar with shifting from white to black, but there was only one little problem; he wasn't willing it himself. He could always shift through his white and black side whenever he liked, but now he had no control over it. At all. He couldn't stop it when white turned black, when his skin turned a darker color. It was beyond his own control...
And that didn't sit quite well with the Noah. If there was one thing he had to be careful about, it was losing control. Not being able to turn back. He didn't want to lose them, but...having both was fun.
But he quickly reassured himself. Hadn't he woken up here in his white side? Though he couldn't switch back now, there was reason enough to believe that it wasn't lost. It was too much of a coincidence, to shift to his black right after the sun had set. He didn't knew how, or why, but what if it was related to day and night?
At the very least, having his black side would make his stay a bit more interesting.
He removed his glasses, leaving them on his desk. There was no need for these now. Too lazy to do anything about his hair, he grabbed his flashlight and moved into the dark hallway. He had seen the area on his way to his room, and logic told him the row of doors held more rooms. Not really interested, he moved along.
On to some cigarettes first. He needed a smoke, already!

Noah couldn't help but be interested in the dangers that it held, as well as the Head Doctor's sudden change in personality. He had a made a note of the monster descriptions the others had provided, as well as a copy of the available maps, which would definitely come in handy sooner than later. With said copies in hand, as well as his flashlight, Bennet stepped out of his newly assigned room and into the hallway.
Pity, his roommate seemed pleasant enough, but he knew they both had more important things to do at the moment
Leaving the relative safety of his room behind, Bennet cautiously walked down the hall, taking care not to miss any important details in his surroundings.

The hallway leading out from M66 was the same as before; no youma to deal with, which was fine by him. In one hand, he swept his lantern from the north end to the south; in the other, he gripped the aluminum bat he received a few nights ago, along with a makeshift over-shoulder satchel crafted from his bed's topsheet. Let's see if this is enough to gather what we need, he thought, bringing the light across for another sweep before heading southward.

He was glad at the chance to spend another night with his new friend, seeing how they had ultimately accomplished what they had set out to do yesterday, which he figured meant they were a good team. It was strange not to be meeting up with his other friends, but maybe it was better if they spread out and covered more ground.
Once he had wished Okita good luck with whatever he was doing that night, Guy headed out into the hallway, using his flashlight to search out Peony. It looked like the emperor wasn't out and about yet, but for the moment the servant refrained from actually knocking on the older man's door. It was okay to wait it out for a little bit, right? He didn't really want a repeat of what had happened last time.

Siggy hadn't shown up today, and Jade hadn't said one way or another what he had planned to do tonight. So that meant he was set to have another boring sort of night, right? He even kind of missed Jade. He'd have to get on his case about always leaving him alone come evening. And that would be that.
He'd strapped on his smart Tyvek suit that he'd retrieved his first night in Landel's, opting to wow whoever might look at him. And he'd gathered the shirt he'd filled last night with four flasks and bottles of camphor and ammonia, too, hoisting it over his shoulder like a petty thief.
Peeking his light blond head out the door, the emperor looked around. "Gailaaardia," he said in a spooky voice. "You waiting for your little friend?"

He turned to the emperor with a small smile, glad to see him again (it had been a while) even considering the outfit he was wearing. Though that reminded him that he still needed to check and see if his more familiar outfit was anywhere in his room, though he didn't want to bother with it now when there were more important tasks at hand.
"Nah, I was looking for you, actually. I'm going to meet him and he asked me to pick those flasks up from you, if that's all right." He doubted that Peony would mind, seeing how he had been willing to hand them over from the start.

M65
First things first - picking up their irritating swordsman before he ended up on the opposite side of the building...
M61
He had to find the others and get out of here.
Unfortunately, it was pitch black, leaving him with little knowledge of how to move around. The Doctor mentioned a radio - so something had to be hidden in the room. Moving over to the bed, Mori sat down on it and swiped under the pillows. Mitsukuni usually hid sweets under his and it was a most natural hiding place for-- His hand hit something and he pulled it out, feeling around it to figure out what it was. A flashlight? Mori shook it and found that there were no batteries, causing him to frown. Batteries had to be somewhere...
Searching through the rest of the room, he found the batteries and pens in a drawer. It didn't take long before he had the flashlight working and he looked to Reid, giving him a bow before he headed out. He had only the vaguest idea of where to go - M35. Tamaki.
People were waiting for him.

With a frustratingly long pause--between Reid reaching down for enough Power and it heating up his veins--the flashlight moved slightly, then finally jumped to his hand.
Same trick he'd been working on...
Reid bit at his lip as he flipped it on and made ready to take off. That meant... what? He hadn't been able to use in the day, only during times like this. What did that mean?
Nothing good.

Outside M63
Just a hallway over, so hopefully running the distance had helped Sano make up some time. Of course, with the door closed there was no acceptable way of seeing if Kenshin was already there talking, or if he'd not yet arrived. But since the truce was more important than Okita's door fetish, Sano would just have to wait and see, leaned against the wall next to the door.
Instead of putting his foot through it.
Re: Outside M63
Curiosity brought it further into the patient block, where it at last found a body that wasn't going anywhere at the moment. It began to close in quickly as it neared Sanosuke's legs, preparing to strike.
Re: Outside M63
And good thing too. Sanosuke pushed himself away from the wall just in time to see the thing's tail twitch, something he doubted was a good sign. The problem was just how to fight the thing without getting stung, and without shattering his hand. On the plus side, at least this looked like something he could fight.
"Okay you bug." Sanosuke grinned a bit, watching the thing as best he could in the dark. "Come and get me."

Grabbing only the metal bat from the closet (and glancing over it with a longing for a more practical weapon) he headed out. The hallway for the female patients was not so close as the Magician's block, but it did leave him an indoor route to take this time. That was better. He never did trust heading outside after seeing that one monster his first time through.

It would more wasted time if he tried to uncover the roots of this mystery now, though, so rather than do that, he settled for putting on his coat and taking his radio and flashlight with him out into the hall. He might as well see if Misa still needed someone to take her to the clinic, he supposed, so with this in mind, he headed towards the next hall.

He cursed as there was no sign of anyone left in the hallway. That meant that should he be attacked by any monsters, he'd have to rely on his own ability to get away or kill them. Zelos examined the flashlight a bit more and found that it was sturdy enough to take some hits, but he would have preferred not to demolish the only thing that let him see in this place, but sometimes sacrifices had to be made.
He quickly ran out to the end of the hallway.

And besides, the damned contraption could actually be of some use. Smirking slightly, he dragged the folded-up chair along behind him as he proceeded to the meeting place.
But he did have to admit, the Head Doctor kind of freaked him out.

Shrugging, he made his way towards the end of the hallway. He had operated on his own enough that he didn't mind doing so right now. HK was useful to have around, but by no means was he necessary.

He looked around. SubZero was usually around here somehwere, but he wasn't. He-- ...He was half-way down the hallway already. Bugger. Not wanting to run after him or really act like he cared, he started walking, calling out a quiet "Exclamation: Meatbag!" ...No response. Buggerbuggerbugger. He started running, trying again with a louder "SubZero! Wait!"

"HK-47..." SubZero said, using the other assassin's full name for once. He had to admit it was good to be called something other than 'meatbag', though he'd almost grown accustomed to it. At least he was finally getting the respect he deserved.
"Hurry up, I don't want to waste another night-shift."

Damn it all, he'd blacked out before he'd made it again. And now he didn't know where Hohenheim was... again.
He had to be here in the building, but where to start looking? He only knew where Ed's boyfriend was... Though that was probably the closest he'd have to finding Edward, and thus the closest he had to finding the little shit's dear daddy. He already had plans to go there, so why not take down the whole family? He had nobody to tell him no...
And, he noted, not without a hint of bitterness, he wouldn't have to fake injury tonight. His forehead throbbed, and he recalled vaguely the moment it had connected with the corner of a piece of furniture; a chair or table, he couldn't remember, but it was sharp and he'd been stunned enough to get wrestled down and pricked with something strong. There were stitches in it now, but those were easily enough picked out with a little determination and nimble fingers. Head wounds tended to bleed a lot (one of his favorite parts of inflicting them), which served the purpose of making him look more injured. He felt the sticky fluid drip from the re-broken skin. He hadn't wanted to mar his own face, but if it had already been done, why not?
Dizzy from the drugs, he got up and headed out.
M66
This felt incredible. While human tongues may have been shorter and clumsier than a VUX's, he had no idea they could feel like this, and even if they were incapable of the gymnastics his natural tongue could achieve, they could still interact in some very nice ways...
He broke apart from him, ZEX nearly following him mindlessly to renew their contact, but then instead decided to take a moment to calm his breathing and hopefully his heart, which was beating very hard. His human's head pressed against his own... how he wished he could touch him with his head feelers! Run them through his hair like his strange fingers...
Speaking... ZEX stared at him, heavy-lidded, trying to focus on his words instead of kissing him again. His human touched him, and he sighed again, wanting. What was it he said...?
"Stop...?" A husky whisper, and ZEX kissed him lightly, his hands again moving along his skin. Still whispering, his voice and thoughts clouded with lust. "Why should we do that...?"
When something felt like this, why would anyone ever want to stop?
Re: M66
Because we should, because I should, because you're an alien who happens to be human-shaped at the moment, because ten minutes ago I would've had a million reasons, it all rumbled through his mind, and he summed it up with a whispered "because" before leaning in to kiss ZEX enthusiastically.
No argument from his body there, at least, and Zelnick slid the hand he'd had against ZEX's cheek to the back of his neck, pulling him deeper into the kiss. His other hand-- he'd forgotten what he'd been doing with it, before, but now seemed like a wonderful time to put it back at the small of ZEX's back.
