Day 32: Sun Room (2nd shift)

After the couple glasses of water Leon managed to gulp down during breakfast, the mage felt immensely better. He was still a bit tired, but that was nothing a little lounging on one of the sofas wouldn't cure. Stretching his arms above his head, he couldn't help but wish he'd had the chance to grab one of his new doctor's coats before leaving his room that morning. Maybe they would have let him get away with wearing it. Maybe.

He grabbed an empty sofa, pulling out the journal he tried to keep on him at all times. It was nearly complete now. Just a couple more pages to go. It might not improve his spellcasting that much, but any improvement was better than none. It was getting to where it might be too dangerous for him to use spells at all, if it left him so worn out without even finishing a monster off.

[ooc: lol, it's all good!]

Hitsugaya nodded as the man approached. "I did," he commented, examining him briefly. If he was going to work with this man, knowing who he was stood as a good first step. He debated glancing at his spirit threads, but decided against it in favor of saving himself the headache. Still, he had no obvious reiatsu, which meant he wasn't a shinigami at the very least. Thanks to the effect Landel's institute had on his vision, he couldn't tell much more than that. "Lamont, correct? It's useful to meet the individuals I'll be working on. In addition, I wanted to confirm the details of your request. You wish to have a are simple notes on what creatures each group encounters at night, the number of creatures, where they were encountered as well as a brief description of that area, and who was involved. In exchange, you will report any useful findings, as well as an updated map showing frequencies of monster appearances, as well as the kind of monsters encountered."

"I'm fine with all of that, but what Kuchiki-san didn't convey is how you want this information transfer to take place. I dislike putting too much information on the boards if I can avoid it."

“If the degree of information left on the bulletin is what you are worried about, that shouldn’t be too hard to remedy.” After all, the History club has agreed to slide the information under the door every few days during the nightshift. The solution would have to be one that was within his group’s capabilities. Since Hitsugaya had stated that he didn’t want too much information made available, it indicated that some amount could, “How much do you feel comfortable making public?”

Hitsugaya pondered the question for a second before answering. "Public to the prisoners, or public to where the institution can read it? I have less concerns about everyone having access to the information as I do letting Martin know what we're aware of. If he finds out what we know and uses it against him, that's one thing, but I feel hesitant to give him anything if it can be avoided."

Better he work for the information than leave it open for him to read, the captain reasoned. Any energy he put into finding out what the prisoners knew was energy he wasn't devoting to other, more sinister tasks.

“It is possible to have the members of your group slide the information under my door every other night shift” L suggested as he ran his thumb against his lower lip in thought. Other options appeared to be less than favorable if he required the activity to go unnoticed on the bulletin board. Having each person pass L information through notes during the dayshift would likely be noticed by the staff, and requiring each message to be coded would only suggest involvement in suspicious activity.
