Nightshift 31: 2nd Floor Extra Storage
[from here]
Leon edged past Kadaj into the newly opened room, shining his flashlight around slowly to take everything in. These were different items than what was kept in the janitor's closet, and he hoped his companion came to appreciate the fact that they'd just found another storage room. Maybe he could pick up some more metal here. He motioned to a stack of sheets with his light. "That might be stronger material for carrying your things in if you can keep it held together."
Moving further in, he caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of his eye that had him panning the light back around to get a better look at. Giving a sudden cry of "Aha!" Leon rushed over to grab what appeared to be a doctor's coat. He began humming merrily to himself as he shed the coat he was wearing, put this new one on, then put the original coat back on over it. (He needed the pockets after all.)

"You seem happy," he observed, smirking at his com-pan-ion. What a sickening word. "How sweet. You do know that it's at least ten sizes too big for you, right?"
As he spoke, he sifted through some of the supplies, looking for just about anything that might catch his fancy. Burn cream... that would have been useful about a week ago, so why not now? He grabbed some of it, along with a few rolls of gauze. What else...

Watching Kadaj, he pointed out one of the wheelchairs folded in a corner and smirked. "You could always wheel everything around in one of those." He found that mental image pretty darn funny.

"I think I'll pass," he replied eventually, still smiling but somehow seeming displeased with the idea at the same time. "The only reason I'd want to be near one of those again would be if I could push both it and whoever was sitting in it off of a very, very tall building-- a cliff, perhaps, or maybe a waterfall?" Which would be the worst, he wondered? He fell silent, still looking off to one side as he considered this. Probably the waterfall...

Looking about, he couldn't think of anything else he had an immediate use for. He did briefly contemplate grabbing an extra pillow just for luxury's sake, but figured it wouldn't be worth lugging around and he didn't spend enough time in his room anyway. Was there anything his friends or his roommate would want? Finally, figuring you could never have too much extra cloth, he grabbed a folded sheet and tucked it under his arm.
"Anything else?"

"No, that's everything," he said, turning away from the pair of goggles he'd been inspecting and giving Leon a lopsided smile. "I'm surprised you're not taking another coat, you know. What if that one gets stained?" Stained with what was a question he'd leave up to Leon's imagination to answer.

"Thanks for that," he said to Kadaj with a grin, one hundred percent serious.

"Time to get moving, then?" he added, heading towards the door. Whatever Leon's answer was didn't matter, in other words, because he was leaving now.
