Nightsift 31, M35 (Clinic)
Dinner had been pleasant! Still commoner food, but very good. And the tea! Tamaki was still sipping at his when the intercom switched on and the doors unlocked. He didn't entirely understand what was going on, but something had upset the Head Doctor very much. Which was perfectly alright with him.
He stood and opened the door to place the "Clinic" sign on it, and immediately began preparing for the night. He was used to this by now. Though there were less supplies to set out tonight than there had been. He'd have to organize something so they could restock. Fai had said the room with medical supplies wasn't very far away, at least....
Tamaki set out the usual bandages, medications, antiseptic and everything else. Bandages were the one thing they had more than enough of. And he was certain they'd have enough help tonight! And if something happened and Raine and the others weren't able to make it, that was alright. They'd survived last night, they'd be fine.
Nodding with a satisfied expression, Tamaki sat back down at his desk to finish his tea.

Hikaru and Kaoru burst into the room with a flourish, running to either side of Tamaki's chair and pulling him out of it. "Good evening, Milord! No time to be sitting around now--we've got to get to work." They sat him down on one of the beds.
"Now," Hikaru said solemnly, "We've got something to ask you. Have you been telling people we're knights again?"
no subject
"We know how you like to really get into character, but maybe we shouldn't encourage the Institution Game. You are Tamaki Suoh, not whoev- no, wait. Telling people we're knights really is in character for you.... Forget we said anything, Milord."
no subject
"Oh honestly!"
Tamaki sighed heavily. He did need to rest before the nighttime rush! But the twins weren't here every night, he couldn't possibly expect them to understand. And it wasn't that he minded the teasing, he just had other things on his mind at the moment.
"My work doesn't begin until I have patients to take care of," he explained, running a hand through his hair. "And if tonight's anything like last night was...."
He certainly couldn't be distracted! "Are the two of you here to help, or just to tease me? Because you can do that any time. And besides, wouldn't you rather me introduce you as knights? Everyone else here is something interesting."

The older of the two twins sat down next to Tamaki, suddenly serious. Or as serious as he ever got when they were teasing someone, at least. "We'd like to be introduced as ourselves, Tamaki. So what if there are fairies or dragons or Harry Potter or the Shinsengumi here? We may just be high school students, but that's okay." He shrugged. "We'll help tonight, but you've got to promise to stop introducing us as people we're not. It makes it pretty awkward for us later, you know."

Kratos walked in quietly, muttering a "good evening" before moving off to the side as usual to stand and wait (would he always be the first healer there?). The night was still young, so of course there would be zero patients- at the moment.
And it seemed Tamaki was busy again with his young friends. Kratos smirked softly at the memory of the conversation he and Leon had had concerning those three. Ah, to be young and have time to play around...

Staring at the sign wasn't going to get any of them anywhere, so with his one free hand, Light opened the door and led the other two inside, bowing as best he could with a perky blond latched onto his arm and saying "Good evening" to everyone already there. Unfortunately, this included the twins, but he was fairly certain they'd be distracted with Suou for at least a little while longer... he hoped.

"Yo," he greeted the assembled patients, following Light's example. Being here meant Misa would probably let go of his arm now, and he wasn't particularly looking forward to that but it couldn't be helped. It had been nice while it lasted.

Her bow was curt but respectful and not as deep as it normally would have been because she was conscious of how high her sweater would ride up. Accidentally flashing Light wouldn't have been a problem but Sanji was behind her too and Misa wasn't that kind of a tease.
She noticed the twins there with Tamaki and her smile became just slightly more rigid. She wasn't yet sure if she completely disliked them or not.
no subject
This was perfect. Light, Misa, and...somebody else all coming into the room together, clinging to each other. It didn't get any better than this.
Hikaru wished he had a couple of roses on hand. Hosting Misa in front her boyfriend would be hilarious. ...Well, maybe they still could. The older twin shot his brother a knowing look.
"Welcome, gentlemen and fair lady," he said elegantly, bowing deeply. Then he jerked a thumb over to where Tamaki was still standing. All pretensions of politeness and elegance vanished. "...Is what he'd say, anyway. Hi."

Raine stood just inside the doorway for a few moments, wondering what she should say, or if she should. If someone asked where Reinforce was, she didn't exactly have any answers.
People vanished all the time here, though. News traveled fast, and she knew Tamaki at least had lost someone he was close to--there was no explanation, she was just gone one day. So if anyone wondered... they might be able to simply guess.
Raine sat down at a desk and took out her book; she didn't feel like talking, and it was a distraction.

Tamaki, on the other hand, did feel like talking. Especially when the twins abandoned what he'd asked them to do to do...well, what they normally did. Everyone else listened to him, why couldn't they? He'd nodded to Misa and Light - he didn't know the other man - but it was clear he wasn't going to be able to ask what they could do, or were willing to do, without interrupting.
And it was getting too crowded in here. And Tamaki didn't know who had even basic first aid skills and who didn't.
"Ah... I think maybe now would be a good time to start moving people into other rooms? We aren't going to have room for any patients if this keeps up!"
no subject
She also hadn't missed what the twins were doing, and this was not a time to be goofing off; she could probably have made them listen to her even if they ignored their friend, but tonight she just didn't have it in her; so, sending them away was the best solution. Consequently, she wasn't certain about leaving them in charge of hurt patients, but she supposed they could at least be trusted to get someone else if one of their charges suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Ed ran to the next corridor, clutching the books to his chest, not wanting to waste any time in case Fox turned up. He'd just been delayed, that was all. He wasn't going to start worrying even if a sort of dread had settled heavily in his stomach.
He stepped into the clinic, a little surprised at how many people were already there considering how early it was in the night. They needed a bigger room.

His part fulfilled, Kratos made his way over to the man that Tamaki had pointed out. "Tamaki sends his apologies- as you can see, he's rather tied up with a patient right now." It was a little ironic, considering how many people had shown up earlier stating that they were there to help. "If I could be of any assistance in his stead...?"

Jack pushed the "clinic" door open with his foot and immediately noticed how crowded it was. Huh. Guess it made sense, lots of people getting injured in a place like this, but the Fable had been hoping for, nay, expecting prompt medical aid for him and his new lady friend. He glanced down at Lust.
"The hospital situation is out of control everywhere these days."
It was a stupid joke, but he hoped it would get a slight smile from Lust, if only to think he was completely idiotic.

"You can put her on that bed," she said, nodding to it. "What happened here?" Without waiting for an answer, she went to grab some bandages and salve. Even if she did end up using a healing spell on the woman, she would likely be left with at least a few cuts--First Aid was just so much weaker than what Raine was used to having at her disposal.

"There was a creature, a...girl. She touched me and this happened and she burned him."

Getting the door open without dropping ZEX was a bit awkward, but Zelnick managed.
... it was crowded, and he stood awkwardly in the doorway, shifting a bit and glancing around. "Uh, I could use some help," he said loudly, glancing down at the injured man he was carrying.
no subject
"Ugh..." Quiet and under his breath.

"Yes, please! Just set him on a bed, we'll tend to him immediately!"

"Hey, we need some help over here," he called out, but it looked like all the healers were preoccupied.
Upon entering the "Clinic," Archer noticed there weren't any beds left, but there were a few chairs. It may not have been as comfortable, but a chair was better than nothing. Archer was a little concerned about the blonde's condition, especially the amount of blood loss. He brought the man over and laid him in one of the chairs.
"Hold on a sec. I'll get you some bandages and meds," Archer reassured him before quickly walking away.

In a way, the situation was both familiar and slightly disturbing. After all, the Suzaku seishi fought for their companions and their priestess had fought desperately for the one she had loved. That alone had been the end of him. And now he had been offered aid by strangers, something which had never happened to him before. However, to accept help from others was to show weakness; part of his mind knew that and yet he had accepted their help all the same. He had needed them to get down here; that was it. He would thank them again come morning, but, now...
The other man (Archer, hadn't the girl who reminded him of Taria said his name was?) had at least seen fit to deposit him in a chair before going off... somewhere. For bandages, Nakago thought he had said. Ah, well, no matter, really. The man's job was done. There was no reason for him to linger here.
"Go back to your companions," he said after a moment, although he wasn't entirely sure the man had heard him before he took off. After all, now that he was here, he hardly required Archer's assistance. Ah, but it certainly felt good to have some manner of coherency back, although his words were occasionally punctuated by sharp breaths against the pain his body was forcing him to admit; he would later blame this on the drug he had been administered earlier in the night. "Your task was to escort me down here. Nothing more than that."

Despite the wisdom in the man's words, Archer chose to blatantly ignore him. He returned to Nakago's side and deposited some clean bandages and a bottle of morphine onto the table.
"I trust the bandages are self-explanatory, but the medication's a little different. It's called morphine, a painkiller, but don't take too many of these little suckers or pain is the last thing you'll ever worry about."
Archer conveniently placed aside the correct amount of medication for the other man, but he was really tempted to let Nakago fend for himself. While he didn't mind Momo's orders, Nakago was a completely different story. Archer just couldn't get rid of that bad vibe he was getting from the Seiryu seishi, and the blonde's choice of words didn't exactly help either.
"My companions can handle themselves."
I do want to get back to them, but the Vice Captain would want me to make sure he was okay first. I have a feeling she wouldn't appreciate if I just dumped him on the Clinic's doorsteps like a sack of potatoes, as tempting as that thought was.
"As for my orders, I doubt my leader would appreciate it if I let you bleed to death on the floor. Like the women said our job was to rescue you, and if you were to die then our efforts would be meaningless."
Especially mine, since I had to carry your sorry ass all the way down here.
And with that, Archer left. He didn't have any desire to stay with the other man any longer than necessary.
