Nightshift 30: Radio Broadcast #1
Surprisingly, the radio did not remain silent. Each and every one suddenly turned on, emitting steady static that only lasted a few seconds before clearing up.
Then, quietly, but growing progressively louder, 'Taps' started to play. For those who recognized the song, they would know what it signified. For those who didn't, the somber sound would give them enough of an idea of its meaning.
A rebel soldier had fallen, and they all needed to feel for him in one way or another.
Once the song finished, the radios clicked off, and all was silence again.
