Nightshift 30: M11-M20 Hallway
[Specifically M12]
"… Wait, really?" Axel asked, mainly to himself, as he listened to the intercom and the head doctor’s sudden confession. It hadn’t been long since he was escorted back to his room after his dinner, feeling rather content after spending a shift to himself. It was fun and all to chill with a couple of people beforehand, but a guy needed a break every once in a while.
His plans were relatively simple at the time. He was going to run off to Kairi’s room, swing her body over his shoulders and haul her back over to his own. He’d forgotten to write a note down for Roy in the bulletin saying he couldn’t make it, but he was sure the colonel could make the right assumptions.
He had been in the middle of rummaging under his mattress for his chakram when the intercom came to life again, and with that he couldn’t help but stop and look up at the ceiling with a mix of curiosity and disbelief. At this point it almost felt like a tradition for the man behind the radio to pop up every evening, so a change this big earned a bit of attention. Axel’s gaze remained on the ceiling for at least half a minute before he glanced over at his roommate on the other side.
"You know, I almost don’t believe it." But this was technically a battlefield, and one side had to give in one way or another. He had to remind himself that tradition didn’t exactly last forever.

Re: M18
Somewhere down here...
Zelnick paused in front of the door he was almost certain was Yuber's, and knocked lightly. "Yuber?" he called, quietly.
Re: M18
ZEX scratched a bit at his forehead and waited.
Re: M18
Throwing his long legs over the side of the bed, the Black Knight pushed himself up to stand before making his way over towards the door. Pulling it open, his mismatched gaze automatically fell onto Zelnick before sliding over to the slightly taller man. He regarded them wordlessly for only a mere moment before his gaze finally returned back onto the captain.
“Zelnick,” Yuber greeted with a snake-like smile before taking a step back from the door to allow them entrance. “And who happens to be your little friend?”
Re: M18
"Admiral ZEX, Yuber," Zelnick introduced. "Ah... What's the plan?" He took the unspoken invitation to come in and set the basket on one of the desks. "We're going to your friend's room, right? We'll want to bring the saltpeter, at the very least..."
Re: M18
He was content to merely listen and stare at Yuber thoughtfully for the moment. When he felt he could make a real contribution, then he would say something, but admiring the new human seemed a worthwhile way to spend his time for now. His hair was a lovely shade... ZEX wondered how his height would affect the logistics of more intimate interactions.
Re: M18
“It would be best if we take as many of the supplies over as possible.” Yuber smoothly murmured before pulling out their supplies from beneath the bed. He began placing them on the mattress before making certain to keep the eggs separate from the remainder of the pile. With a glance over his shoulder, the Black Knight warned. “Unfortunately tonight’s little get together will be a meeting only. My companion got himself mixed up with the excitement this morning and it’s doubtful that he’s feeling at his best.”
Not if their earlier conversation on the board was anything to go by.
Re: M18
He loaded up the basket with the best of the loot, which ended up being all of the loot but a few bottles of formaldehyde. It was a bit overflowing, but unless they ran into something aggressive, he shouldn't have much trouble.
"I'm ready."
Re: M18
"If you need me to carry anything, I'd be happy to do so," he offered. "As long as it's not extremely delicate... I don't trust these things that much." He waved one hand a bit awkwardly.
He wasn't sure if they'd need his assistance, but it hardly mattered. As long as he was close to the human Captain, that was all that mattered.
Re: M18
“Depending on how the night fares – your offer might be needed later.” Yuber murmured over towards ZEX before gesturing for the pair to follow. If he took ZEX's words correctly, then it seemed as though they weren't human prior to entering into this institution. He idly wondered just how many others there were int he same situation.
Slipping out into the hallway, the Black Knight’s movements were oddly devoid of sound as he sauntered his way to the other end.
