Still reeling, Zelnick only protested that the nurse was taking him away from his conversation with Xigbar-- he had hardly noticed the riot going on around him, which either spoke very poorly of his awareness of others, or of the very great (and unhappy) surprise of learning more about this place...

Trying to pull himself out of his unhappy mood, he tried to pay attention to where they were going-- and was that a sort of message board over there? He tried to get his nurse to stop for him, but she frowned and shuffled him along, apparently unwilling to risk him attacking her.

He wouldn't do that; Zelnick never attacked non-hostiles, and even then he tried to talk it out first...

Within a couple of minutes, Zelnick was in his room, left to his own devices. Sighing, he decided to investigate the place more thoroughly-- his heart wasn't in it, but it was something to do until this lockdown ended.

His heart was slightly more in it when he found the basket of apples and supplies from the night before, set in a corner of the closet-- in a momentary burst of happiness, he took one of the apples and began to crunch on it, a blissful look making its way across his face.

At least he was alive?
