M-A Block Hallway

[Coming from here.]

Daemon paid little attention to any of the doors he passed, taking no time to watch where he was going or check if there was anyone or anything in his way. His attention was completely focused on that one distant pulse, which was growing ever closer. He could feel her, she wasn't far away. After all this time.

It was all he could do not to just spend his magic and take down the walls that separated him from her in order to be there more quickly.

Leon raised an eyebrow. "Duly noted," he replied to Ren's description of what the outdoors held. "Thanks for the heads up."

"I've got some training," he said. "Though admittedly, it's been restricted to fighting humans--" or things that used to be human "--and usually with a weapon of some kind. I'm hoping to find a few knives while we're out." And a gun, God what he wouldn't give for a gun. Leon had a feeling that was going to become something of a mantra over the course of the evening.

"I can hold my own," said Javert. He'd had more than his share of fights over the years, and he knew how to fight dirty when necessary. Still, all of his opponents had been humans. "I've never tried to fight a giant scorpion before, though."

God, if only Gisquet could see him now. Javert bit back a laugh at the thought. "It seems like running is the only option we have at this point."

"Ah, well, um... I've practiced martial arts since I was about six years old," she told Ichimoto, her hands fidgeting. She wasn't obsessed like Kyo was, but she was a fast learner, even if she did lack control.

"Mostly hand-to-hand, but... I think I would do alright with a weapon. We used swords sometimes in training. The wooden ones." It was embarrassing and her cheeks colored slightly in the darkness. They were all going to think she was a brute now for sure, just like the others. And she tried so hard to be gentle and feminine!

It was good that everyone claimed to have enough training to at least know how to protect themselves, but he'd never seen so many varied 'fighters' gathered in one place before. As he'd already mentioned to Ojou, if not for a common threat, it'd be a little discomforting. And even then...

"Sounds like it," he agreed with Javert. Not that he liked weapons in the hands of anyone, but without them, trying to stop one of those creatures was pretty damn difficult. "It's safe to say there probably won't be a lot of usable weapons on the floor the 'patients' frequent the most, anyway."

There were only a few stragglers coming and going; Ren turned to put his hand back on the door. Scorpion or no, he wasn't intending to stay in there forever, either.

"Ready? Better get going while we still have a chance."
