Main Hallway, 1-East

It didn't take long for Ururu to make it to the meeting place, since really, it was right outside her door. Maybe that's why she was the first one there. She shined her flashlight around slowly, thinking it was awfully dark and awfully quiet right now.

Maybe other people had been sleeping too, and just hadn't woken up in time.

Ururu moved over by the stairwell she thought Rangiku had meant, and watched the area around her with wide eyes. It wasn't that she didn't think she couldn't take care of herself, because she knew she could. It was just that everything looked so different at night, when it was dark, and she was alone.

And all of that put together really made everything seem scary.

Gin wasn't surprised that he wasn't the first one to the meeting point, though he hadn't expected to be the last. The child was already waiting with Ran and he shined the flashlight near their feet as he approached, a friendly smile on his face. He knew he could trust Abarai and the others to keep their word, but Urahara was another story completely. He could be just as cunning as Aizen, likely moreso. After all, Aizen hadn't invented the Hougyoku, simply taken the best advantage of it.

"Evenin' Ran-chan," he said by way of greeting. "An' nice t'see you again Ururu-chan." The tone was pleasant, even if the smile was false.

Rangiku smiled warmly at the girl, offering her a respectful bow. She seemed fairly small, but if Hitsugaya had assigned her to this mission, then she must be more than she appeared. After all, most people would underestimate Hitsugaya because of his age. "I'm pleased to meet you too, Ururu-chan. I'm Matsumoto Rangiku, Captain Hitsugaya's vice-captain."

She turned when the light reached them, hand going to her sword hilt, but she relaxed when she recognised Gin. "Gin," she replied warmly. "You two have met?"

Gin gave a simple shrug when Ran asked him about Ururu. Let her make of it what she would. As if it wasn't painfully obvious the young girl was timid enough, if not downright terrified of him. Any explanation he could offer didn't quite seem worth the breath to speak it.

"We should prob'ly get a move on, ne? People t'rescue n' all if you ladies r' done with th' pleasantries," he offered. Really, it didn't matter a whole lot either way. He wasn't happy that the institute was experimenting on people, but it wasn't his problem unless he made it so. By doing something like a rescue... it was involving himself a little more than he was comfortable with, but then, who could say if the people would even remember it come morning.

Rangiku smiled at Ururu and flashed a grin at Gin. "He made a hat huh?" The idea of Gin indulging a child and making origami hats for them was not one that she'd entertained before, but it was definitely an amusing image.

She straightened up though, switching to a more serious mindset in preparation for their mission. She nodded at Ururu. "We're heading upstairs tonight to help the people who've been taken for experimentation. We can expect to face serious resistance from the creatures of this place. The rooms are up the stairs and to the left in a corridor with many rooms so we may need to try each one."

She looked between them and nodded. "Let's go."
