It was so hard to look at Miku and talk, but when he looked away he just flushed more and couldn't collect his thoughts. Ritsuka wasn't sure why he was like this. Normally he was sure, normally he was steady and didn't let himself waver back and forth. Stupid, stupid, stupid Soubi! Clenching his fists in his lap, Ritsuka took a deep breath and turned to look at the girl across from him.
Now or never.
"It's going to sound stupid, but I can't figure out if I--" Ritsuka stopped when he saw who was coming in their direction, the color draining from his face. He hoped, dear God he hoped he was wrong, but when Aidou made a beeline for their table, he knew.
It was going to be never.
There was no way in hell he'd talk in front of Aidou. He didn't even want to be near the guy after their last rather immature fight and he quickly clammed up and shoved whatever it was he wanted to talk about as far out of his mind as possible. It seemed, anytime he really needed help, it just wasn't meant to be. Maybe this was the universe's way of telling him to stop relying on other people to do his work for him.
He saw that Aidou was upset and while he didn't like the guy, it didn't mean he'd be so callous as to belittle his problem. "Go on. I'll be fine," he said, turning back to his food with decidedly less enthusiasm.
