That... that was a horrible thought and Ed's face fell upon hearing it. "Maybe," he said quietly, because as a scientist he couldn't afford to think over all of the options, no matter how unpalatable they might have been. "But it doesn't mean I have to like it." He wasn't even attached to his own home, but there was Al there so Ed had to be there too. And the thought of being without alchemy like this forever was terrible!

"I'm stubborn. I can't settle anywhere until I'm with Al."
