Nightshift 28: F21-F30 Hallway
[from here]
Momo glanced down the hall, hoping to see either knights, but it seemed they were the first there. And the shinigami couldn't remember what Hokuto's room was.
"Which one's yours again?"

F21
She was worried about lack of the rest of their team, but that nearly flew out of her head entirely when she reached into her closet and found something that was definitely not Landels issue. She grabbed it eagerly, and managed not to squeal too loudly when she saw what it was. Yesss!
She didn't want to lose this outfit either (again, anything was better than the usual uniform), so she quickly stripped to her underwear, folded the jeans, shirt, and sweater, and stashed them in the corner of the closet. The nail polish got tucked into her jacket pocket, just to be safe, and then she changed into what was suddenly her favorite outfit (http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b247/Clover-Elf/HokutoPracticalOutfit.jpg).
The shorts and sleeveless shirt wouldn't protect her against much of anything, and the thigh-length vest wasn't exactly going to keep her warm, but it let her move freely; besides, they did enough running around at night so getting cold generally wasn't an issue. The shoes did have cushioned soles, and buckled securely enough so she didn't have to worry about them falling off--unlike the slippers they were issued here.
Grabbing her shovel, she turned to Momo with a very happy grin. "Okay, let's go."
Re: F21
She turned around and stared at the outfit Hokuto was wearing. "What is that?" It looked like something the 12 Division would create to amuse themselves with.
Re: F21
Their outfits did look drastically different; it was hard to believe they came from the same country. Then, Momo's was traditional, going back generations and worn by countless people for centuries. Hokuto's had been very popular for a couple of months there.
Re: F21
The outfit was utterly ridiculous, the shinigami decided. "You're going to get cold," was pretty much all she could say at that point.
Re: F21
"I'll be fine," she added. "It's comfortable, I don't get cold easily, and it lets me move freely." She could only imagine the shinigami's reaction if Hokuto had been wearing the rose-petal dress.
Hokuto couldn't help but think the shovel she was still stuck with looked more than a little silly with her outfit, but--in the usual Landels uniform, she looked so horrid she actually tended to avoid mirrors. This was an enormous improvement no matter what she was carrying.
Re: F21
She doubted the outfit would be warm enough but she couldn't come up with a better way to address the ridiculous nature of the outfit without directly insulting the girl's fashion sense.
... her horrid fashion sense.
"Let's get to Signum-kun's room."
Re: F21
"Okay!" The fact that she'd been crying still showed a little, but she was cheerful again for now. The outfit helped a lot; she knew how shallow that made her seem, but if she was easy to cheer up, what was wrong with that?
Though honestly, she was worried. Even unarmed, she was sure Signum could fight, but they'd been taken totally by surprise. Would she think to meet them back at her room at all, since it was so far out of the way from the entrance?
[[Going down a thread!]]
F23
Stepping inside, she quickly ascertained its emptiness and sighed. She crossed over to Signum's bed and sat down upon it and crossed her legs. Her eyes fell shut.
"I'm going to find them again," she informed Hokuto as she adjusted the katana so it wasn't getting in the way. With that, she stilled her thoughts and focused on the spirit threads. Her eyes half-opened as she searched through the various threads, the headache once again spiking and her nose began to bleed.
Where are they?
Re: F23
Subaru couldn't see ghosts here, so it probably followed that Momo wouldn't be able to find the spirit threads of people who had died... but they could be weakened in living people, right?
She kept quiet; Momo would tell her whatever she needed to know, and didn't need to be interrupted.
Re: F23
There! The golden threads that were Saber's blazed brightly not far from where she'd found them the last time she'd searched. Leaving them be, she tried to expand her perceptions outside the building and toward that last moment feel of Signum's before she couldn't take the headache anymore.
As before, she'd just caught a glimpse of the lavender threads before she forcible broke her connection to the spirit threads. Sweat glistened upon her face and her breathing was a little heavy, but Momo smiled.
"Found them," she said between breaths. She rubbed at her temples attempting to reduce the headache somewhat.
"Will you retrieve Signum-kun's coat out of her closet for me?"
A moment of sitting on the bed longer and then Momo got to her feet and checked under the mattress for the knight's sword. If it was in the closet, she was certain Hokuto would find it. There were only so many places one can hide a large broadsword.
Re: F23
She also vaguely wondered who was going to carry Signum's sword; it wasn't too big for Momo, but Hokuto wanted an excuse to be armed with something halfway decent for a few minutes!
...either way, maybe she should rip up a sheet and find a way to tie the shovel to her back for easy transport.
Re: F23
"Let me have that," Momo said in regards to the coat.
Once in hand, the shinigami laid the blade on the bed and checked the pockets of the coat, nodding as she found the knight's gloves. She then spread the coat out on the bed and took the time to wrap the blade in a sheet before wrapping it further in the knight's coat.
"We're going to meet up with our team. Signum-kun's still back at the buses, so I surmise she's still in combat. Saber-san is at the building's entrance," Momo said as she lashed the sword containing bundle to her back with the other sheet.
"Stand back," Momo warned Hokuto as the shinigami stepped into the center of the room and fluidly drew her katana, moving through a series of very quick slashes. Satisfied the sword strapped to her back wasn't going to impede her movements given its size, she nodded to herself, sword still in hand.
it felt so good to be in her uniform.
Re: F23
She did her best to strap her own weapon to her back (getting it out in a hurry might be a problem, but she did it) and said "Ready when you are."
Re: F23
Katana held in reverse fashion, point down, the shinigami exited Signum's room. "Saber-san's at the entrance. Let's meet up with her."

Usagi let out a deep sigh as she hopped out of bed and into her slippers. Normally wasting a day to sleep would have been great, but when it happened at Landel's it worried her. Peering under her bed she found the goody bag of things they had gathered from the janitor's closet. It only had first aide items in it, but it was better than nothing. The bites on the back of her neck reminded her of the dragonfly attack from the night before... she had no idea what happened to Naruto, Ami and MOMO. Venturing outside would be the only way to find out.
