Nightshift 28: M35 (Clinic)
(From here)
Tamaki kicked open the door to his room, exhausted and sweating and aching. He dropped Shana on his bed, grabbing his little sign out of his desk and sticking it to his door. There. The clinic was open, and he suspected they'd see a great deal of activity tonight.
Now it was time to get to work!
"We're safe in here," he said, pulling out his medical supplies. Antiseptic wipes, gauze, bandages... did she need those little suture things? Well, he grabbed a package of them anyway.
"Do you want something for the pain?"
It was about that time that Tamaki realized he was alone in his bedroom with a pretty girl. Who was on his bed. Oh dear.

"I have to push your skirt up a little bit. I promise I'm not trying to sneak a look at anything! I'm not a pervert, I'm a doctor!"

Renji was relieved to see the little sign on the door; he'd remembered the room correctly. And even more important, it meant that Suou had made it back to his room okay. That was certainly one less worry in a night chock full of worries. Figuring that if it were a "clinic" then he wouldn't need to knock, Renji let himself in.
Once inside the room, he slipped the sword from his shoulder and leaned it against the wall, where it'd be out of the way. He saw Suou immediately in the small room, and a young woman that he didn't recognize. "Suou," he said. "Sorry to interrupt. You got anything I could use for a splint?" He moved a little closer, noting the smell of blood, and frowned. "Is she hurt bad enough to need a heal?" he asked.
While Renji did have the spare energy to do kidou, he preferred to save it for absolute emergencies. Considering how rotten he was at spells, he was better off saving himself for just fighting; that was what he was good at.
(ooc: Just as a note, Renji is now wearing his Shinigami uniform.)

As threats went, she thought that one was fairly effective, considering how possessive of him the other girl had seemed. Still, she offered him a pained smile to show that she was only teasing him.
Shana blinked when a large redhead burst into the room and her eyes widened as she gazed up at him. She was quite certain she'd never seen anyone like him before. He had strange black markings all over his skin - what she could see of it anyways. She wondered what it was, then figured it would be impolite to ask.
"Oh, don't waste your magic on me," she spoke up when he offered a healing, holding up her hand. "Save it in case someone really needs it. It takes a lot out of a person, and Tamaki gave me something to make it stop hurting, see?" She held up the little white capsule, attempting to keep the dubious look off her face. She was to swallow it? What good would that do, she wondered? Giving a small shrug, she popped the thing in her mouth and swallowed it and waited for the pain to go away.
She hoped it wouldn't take too long...

Sousuke moved to the front of the group supporting Jack and opened the door so they could enter without having to shift the man around too much. He managed to get it on the first try, and swung the door open without so much as an 'excuse the intrusion'. He was quite the sight to behold--shirtless and the crotch and thigh of his pants slashed and soaked in blood, his arm sporting several gashes.
"Captain Harkness needs a place to rest and recover, and I believe I need... some bandages for..."
Well, now that he was in the door, he could at least fall over in safety. The teenaged sergeant collapsed onto the floor of the room, a blank stare on his face.
"Ouch."
[Since there are four of us coming in, I hope it's okay that I started a new thread! ^^;;]

She looked around the room, recognizing Valyn and Keman, and a few others' whose names she didn't know. The beds were occupied, so the best she could do for the moment was say, "Sorry for barging in on you all, but Captain Harkness and Sergeant Sagara need immediate assistance!"
Kneeling beside Sagara, Rukia turned him over. His skin was sticky with drying blood, but at least no fresh blood was coming from his many wounds. She wanted to use kidou to heal the young man further, but she still had to get her katana, find Renji, and get down to the basement. A lot could happen in that time, and she would likely need all the energy she had.
Feeling Sagara's neck for his pulse - it was slow, but not erratic - she spoke to the room in general. "He's lost a lot of blood, but the wounds aren't bleeding any more."

Raine quickly knelt by the injured boy as well; anyone covered in that much blood got looked at first, no questions asked. "I definitely don't like how much blood he's lost..." She was trying to save her magic for the particularly nasty wounds--and this boy looked bad enough so if Tamaki suggested morphine, she would agree. Shaking her head, she closed her eyes and started casting, concentrating hard; she was not going to knock herself cold with her first spell, but she was going to do as much as she could with it.
She was still a little dizzy when she finished it; she had to catch herself with a hand so she didn't fall. "All right. Someone get him to a bed?" The more critical patient taken care of, she turned to the other one--the girl with them seemed all right. "Where are you hurt?" she asked the man. She didn't see any obvious signs of injury, but considering that and the pain he'd mentioned, a head injury seemed likely. Hopefully not bad enough so he would need healing too.

The first thought Hiei had when he came into the room was that he was getting damn sick and tired of carrying a bloody Kurikara all over the place. The next time the dragon got half-killed, he could drag his own carcass all over the place as far as the demon was concerned.
The second thought was a bit lighter, the feeling of relief not only when they arrived, but that there hadn't been too much more blood seeping into Hiei's shirt; it meant that the major claw wounds from the monsters outside had been at least closed by the white-haired child. Still, there had to be better treatment for the ones that remained than torn bedsheets, and that was what Hiei was hoping for.
The question was, which of the humans scurrying around was the best suited to give that sort of treatment.

As most of the healers were busy, Kratos supposed that he might as well take the initiative and act like one of them. It was odd, stepping out of his usual sphere as a fighter into the more passive one of healer, but as long as the clinic was this busy, it was probably for the best that he remain in doing so.
Thus, it seemed obvious that his next job was to take care of the two newcomers. Walking over to them, Kratos mentally summoned up the mana needed to cast First Aid, noting the blood. Monsters' work, no doubt. "If we could get your friend onto one of the beds, I will be able to attend to him there."

At least he seemed sure of himself.
"Fine." Hiei moved to one of the empty beds, and laid Kurikara down rather gently given his normal gruff and violent manner. He stepped away from the dragon's side, giving the human room to work, but certainly no privacy, the demon set to watch Kratos's every move.

Yohji was almost unable to even fit into the room. He should have expected it to be so crowded, he supposed. Plenty of people must have got injured by those bird things. He slipped inside, looking around and wondering who he had to ask about getting some things. Bandages... well, he could just rip up a couple of sheets. But he could do with antiseptic and some painkillers. Maybe more depending on how bad the wounds were.

Ed had only stopped off at Adel's room to pick up the gun and the bullets, not wanting to risk meeting any creature on the way when his alchemy had tired him out so badly. He also didn't like the thought of leaving them there where anyone could find them. They were too valuable to just lose like that.
He headed quickly over to the next corridor towards where he knew Tamaki's room to be and slipped inside carefully. "Tamaki?" He said, scowling at the number of people hanging around.

She was in bad shape, favoring her side where her ribs were broken, and growing dizzy and nauseous from the head trauma. If one paid attention, they would notice the y shaped scratch on her hand, the only injury from The Child that clearly bled. She swayed, and her stamina gave out.

Expanding their base of operations would undoubtedly be a good thing, for several reasons. Raine quickly came to help support Anthy, making sure to be careful, and help her to a nearby chair. Being out of beds was never good in any sense...
She started to ask, "What happened?" as she eased the girl down as gently as she could, but cut herself off. Y-shaped cut on her hand, clear evidence of some sort of trauma to one side of her body... she looked Armand over, but didn't see any of the same injuries. Due to lack of follow-up regarding whether or not the injuries caused by the monster she was suspecting were contagious, she could only pray they weren't...
There was no use worrying about it, though--either way it was too late for that. She checked Anthy's eyes; they looked normal. Hadn't the last victims reported blurred vision? That didn't necessarily mean clouded eyes, true, but she still wondered.
After a moment's pause to make sure she sounded calm, Raine asked them, "Was this caused by a small child in a gas mask?"
no subject
Oh? This woman knew of the child?
"Yes," She said, "I don't know what happened, but- I don't think he tried to. He was lost and-" She winced again. Was she defending him? He had seemed so confused and defenseless in spite of his danger, she still worried for him and for fear of him. Just like her brother; concern and fear for a pitiful figure who had changed to something dangerous she couldn't understand but still felt she loved.

Stumbling about a dark passage like a blind man wasn't Gumshoe's idea of a good time, and as such he felt naturally inclined to sigh with relief once he'd slammed the door open (nearly bringing it off its hinges) to see other patients bathed in a soft glow. He stared absentmindedly at the room's occupants for a short time, visibly flinching and shifting away from the entrance to enable Anise access as well. That corridor was kinda creepy, after all. He didn't like the thought of anyone being lost out there, especially not that charming little girl...
"Hey!" He shouted, conduct a bit harsh for the likes of a scene as war-torn but somewhat serene as this. "Anyone here a doctor?!" He wasn't about to let the kid go into the arms of a stranger who didn't know what they were doing! Did he look like an idiot?!

For the time being, she just stood at the detective's side and curiously glanced around the room without a word.

Glaring briefly at Gumshoe for the rather useless shouting, Leon said firmly, "I have broken ribs and a badly sprained leg. I believe the blood loss has stopped for now, but a wound on my neck could do with some cleaning and bandaging as well. The bandages on my hand also need to be changed." There. If they knew what he needed, they'd know who was capable of helping. Much better than just yelling in panic.

Kratos sighed as he left Kurikara and Hiei to...whatever they were doing. It wasn't his business, and he had no intention of making it his either. There were more patients coming in, and they were the ones who required his attention- after all, even if he was feeling drained, he had resolved to do his fair share of healing. Raine could not have possibly taken care of them all, nor could Tamaki.
Scanning over the three new arrivals, Kratos only recognized one: Leon. "Not a doctor, but perhaps close enough?" he said evenly toward the louder of the three- a larger man. The smaller girl standing in his shadow seemed uninjured- therefore, no assistance needed, and thus he turned his attention to Leon.
"It seems tonight you've finally managed to find us," Kratos said wryly to the younger man. He gathered up the last of his energy. "Will you be able to lie down on one of the beds, or do you need my help?" Sprains and cuts he could deal with, but broken ribs...would his spell's influence go that far?
