Day 28: Main Street

[from here]

Momo headed down what she suspected was the center street for the town. She noted the various businesses as she walked, as well as the increased staff presence, and kept to herself. If she was going to be wandering around lost in her own thoughts, she might as well get a feel for the town.

Maybe she'd make a map once she had a better idea.

[to Kelley Street]

Hisoka followed along wordlessly as he searched through his bag given to him earlier. He had been to preoccupied to do it on the bus, so he might as well check it out now. Coupons... coupons... and food. Hisoka shook his head before ripping out the coupons that were unrelated to food. Like hell he was going to willingly let someone touch him!

"Do you want these?" Hisoka asked, still just a bit sour at the idea. At Ami's question Hisoka looked around thoughtfully. He didn't know exactly what businesses there were, but he might have been able to find something useful and bring it back. With a bit of effort, of course... Hisoka shrugged.

"Nothing specific yet. What about you?"

Ami smiled in understanding as she took the `girly' coupons off Hisoka - he looked like he needed a meal more than a rub between the shoulders, and Ami was pretty sure from the look on Hisoka's face that anyone who even tried something so stupid would live to regret it.

"Thank you. I'll try to see if I can exchange them for something useful," she replied, rummaging through her own bag. Producing the Tasty Burger coupon, she offered it to Hisoka. "I don't really east fast food," she said as an explaination. She had been thinking of giving the coupon to Usagi, but she hadn't seen her all morning. I hope she's okay after last night, Ami thought, concerned.

Looking around once more, Ami focused on the gaudy sign that read Pearl's Beauty Salon - Hair and Nails. "I wouldn't mind going into the beauty salon..." Ami trailed off, blushing slightly. It was a very un-Ami like thing to say. She wasn't really one of those girly girls like Usagi or Minako who loved shopping and getting their hair and nails done, though she did care about her appearance.

"Um...would you like to meet up for lunch at The Twin Pines later?" she asked.
