Day 28: Bus 1
Zelgadis was not happy, at all. Not that this was any change, but the events of the past few hours had given him more to angst about than usual. Nightshift had been dreadful: first he was attacked by a small green man and then covered in leeches, neither of which lead to warm fuzzy feelings.
And now this.
When the nurse had come into his room with new clothes he had a small glimmer of hope-- some thief had taken his normal Landel's wear in the night, so perhaps this was a change in luck. However, it was not the godsend he had hoped for. Minus the threat of sedation, there was nothing in the universe that could make Zelgadis wear a bright lemon-yellow shirt. There was a jacket of a slightly more tasteful variety, so Zelgadis made good us of it-- he put all his coupons in a pocket and pulled up the hood. It was almost as good as his cloak. Well, no it wasn't, but it would have to do.
With mild protesting, Zelgadis was lead to a large yellow vehicle. He climbed the stairs, took a seat towards the back, and readied himself for another frustrating day of being attacked and threatened with spoons.

"So where we going, mate?" he grumbled, nudging the goggled man with his elbow.
no subject
"Nowhere fast on the short bus," was the growled response. The killer forced his fingers to uncurl, still not looking at the cocky jackass next to him.
no subject
"You know what, mate," he said bitterly, "You can suck my fucking cock."
With that, the reaper crossed his arms over his chest and swivelled around to face the aisle of the school bus.
no subject
"You're not my type."

And then the reaper felt a change of heart coming on. Surprisingly, he rather admired this fellow for neither beating the crap out of him nor getting offended.
"You know what," he told the goggled man. "I am surprised by your benificance," he said, getting the last word rather wrong, though his meaning was genuine. "I quite like you. But not in a gay way, in a manly way," he quickly assured the other man. "My name's Mason," he offered, extending his hand.
no subject
"Riddick," he responded evenly. "I'm only not beating the shit out of you because I dislike the end result when these fucks are in charge." He ended the spoken thought with a grin that would make it difficult for Mason to guess whether he was being sarcastic or serious.
no subject
"Much appreciated, in any case," the reaper gulped. He glanced past Riddick's bulging muscles to the scenery outside. "So... um... where are we going?"
no subject
"Town, which is probably as big a joke as the rest of it. I seriously doubt they need the security they're hyping."
He was thinking of the force field that had blown him off the perimeter wall last night. Fucking mind games. On the other hand, force fields required power. And if that power source was inside the grounds, he intended to find it. There was also someone he actually wanted to talk to, now that he'd sorted his thoughts out. Probably two people. He made a note to hook up with them later.

He really didn't have anything else to say to this bloke, but Mason wasn't so good at keeping his mouth shut.
"Hey," he asked, "have you met any good-looking ladies in this place?" It wasn't really being unfaithful to Daisy, right? She hadn't wanted him to sleep on her couch! She didn't actually care about him. That thought just made Mason miserable.
no subject
"I've met a grand total of one woman in this place. I've been a little too busy trying to get the fuck out." Or cause trouble. Whichever came first. But then, his brand of trouble was usually geared towards the 'getting out' concept.

"I got blown off a fucking wall last night. The low-tech thing is a sham, they're using force fields. Good luck picking that lock." His bad mood had returned, along with a hefty dose of spite. He wasn't one for sharing information, but for lack of better things to do, he'd put Mason in his place one way or another. This was assuming Mason even knew what a force field was.
no subject
"What," Mason snorted, "you talkin' like in Star Wars?" He eyed Riddick in a distainful manner. "You think you're some kind of Jedi, do you?"
no subject
"Where I come from, those are movies I didn't exactly have time to see. Too busy running from the law and killing people who annoy me." Put that in your fucking pipe and smoke it. For someone supposedly not wanting to get the shit beat out of him, Mason was really asking for it.
no subject
"Whatever," he replied vaguely to Riddick, not especially cowed by the man's use of the word 'killing.' Death wasn't exactly something that scared Mason. Now, if he'd said that he liked to kick the shit out of people who annoyed him... that might have been intimidating.
With that, the reaper left his 'new friend' behind and headed out into 'the town.' Whatever that meant.
