Nightshift 27: 2nd Floor Hallway near Medical Reference Library and Railed Area
[from here]
Once they were safely at the top of the stairs, Ritsuka flicked on his flashlight and swept the area. It was probably unwise to announce their position, but he needed to know where he was. For all the times Ritsuka had been up here, he had never really gotten very far and his memory was fuzzy. Somewhere to his right was the pharmacy, near the railing, where he needed to stop for supplies for Tamaki.
Whether he should stop there first or after their explorations, however, was the problem. Turning to the right, he started forward and tried not to show any fear. He wanted to get things done tonight, even if it meant facing the worst that Landel's had to offer. He just hoped he wouldn't have to do that just yet.

He was surprised though, at Clark's reaction to the information. He didn't seem like he was going to drop him and run, nor did he seem worried. What did he have some kind of super strength or something? That was kind of reckless.
But, Kyon reasoned with himself, if he could keep control of himself, he would be fine. He could do that at least.
"You're taking that pretty well."

"Uh, I guess I'm just still shocked," Clark stammered. That one? Pretty lame, even for him. He was never good at this lying stuff: there was only so many times he could say he was "lucky", or "in the right place at the right time" before he started getting tired of just lying in general. "Y'know, first with those rats, and then this?"
Yeah, definitely not one of his better days trying to pass himself off as normal. He wasn't sure if this vampirisim thing would wear off on Kyon, but he hoped so. The other boy sounded kind of miserable to him, and with good reason - he was probably realizing that he wasn't normal, that he stood out and not in the good way. Clark sighed to himself. Yeah, he could get how he felt if that was the case.

Kyon knew a little about keeping secrets.
But this was the point that Kyon realized he was being carried like a girl down the hall. He cleared his throat and said, "I think I'm okay to walk, now." Yeah this scene HAD to look right.
Besides, he was sure he was in control right now.

So far he wasn't sure what to make of Kyon. For someone who claimed he was turned into a vampire - of all things - he seemed surprisingly normal. Clark didn't think he'd have been able to pick him out of a crowd under any other circumstances. So far he hadn't seen Kyon actually try to make a pass at any one, but that didn't mean he could rule out that he wouldn't in the future.

When his feet hit the floor, Kyon braced himself on Clark's shoulder, his joints not wanting to cooperate just yet. A few steps, and he let go, walking normally again.
Well, mostly. He put a hand on the wall, to keep himself balanced. He still smelled that scent of blood that was all around him, but it was less prominent now. Maybe he was just adjusting to it, or it had lightened up. It could have been something about that hallway, who knew.
"So, where are we headed?" He asked turning back to Clark. If he could see well, he might've noticed the short fangs in Kyon's mouth.

"I was thinking we could head back to the patient rooms," Clark said. He was glad to have a change of subject, although he had no idea if Kyon really bought his white lie or didn't want to press it. Either way, it worked for him. "That's the safest places I know about."
That wasn't saying much, though, considering he had only been here for maybe a day or two, at best. He had a feeling Landels was a lot bigger than he what he'd only seen since waking up in this weird place. The important thing was getting Kyon settled someplace that could be guarded though. Clark felt bad that he had to leave the others to those rats, but, he had to think dryly, at least that left them relatively safe by leaving the group to get attacked.

Kyon didn't want to think about it. It looked like he would need to avoid that place for a while. He didn't want to take any chances with Tamaki's patients. He'd probably have to tell the Host that he was withdrawing from the club, too. So much for that. Tamaki would understand though, he hoped.
"My room is M37, unless you know of one closer by." He really did want to go lay down. The thirst was moderately in check, but he still felt pretty ill.
Man, Kon's going to be pissed at him. He was probably still waiting for him in the game room. Maybe they could cut off and check...
