Nighshift 27 -- M46
Ginji finished his dinner happily and then took out his notebook, doodling inside of it.
He tried to ignore what the Head Doctor said because it made him sad. A lot of stuff seemed to make him sad lately. He didn't like feeling that way. He wished Ban would hurry up and rescue him, since he couldn't think of a plan to get out on his own, especially while his leg was still hurt pretty badly.
Hopefully, that would at least be better soon. He glanced at the door and wondered how long it would take for the person to come, if they did at all, to help him out. He also wondered what kind of 'healing' powers they had.

As Reinforce knocked at the door marked M46 she reflected that she had no idea what kind of person Kyon's friend was. Kyon had seemed quite ordinary to her, so it stood to reason his friends would either be fairly ordinary themselves or nice enough to befriend people that wouldn't be especially useful to them. Still, one never knew.
Someone interesting, hopefully. It would be wrong to take any formal payment, of course, but for helping them out like this she could probably get a conversation or two back easily enough. No time for that right now, but maybe later...

He was standing, though clearly very awkwardly. He was mostly favoring one leg and trying not to put any weight on his injured one. When Reinforce entered he quickly moved back to the wheelchair the nurses had given him and collapsed into it.

She felt she should say something more, but... she was here for a reason, and she was on a schedule. After an uncomfortable second of silence she knelt beside him. "May I see the wound?"
The could guide the spell regardless, but visualization helped when she was limited like this.

He pulled up the clothing, which exposed the white bandages underneath. "Do you need me to get those off too?" he asked. The leg underneath the wrappings was missing chunks of flesh and muscle. The wounds had been stopped from bleeding the night they had happened by the power that Raitei had stolen from the demon, but the flesh and muscle had not been completely restored. Now that Ginji knew where they had come from (that something had tried to eat him alive) he realized there where places were teeth must have sank into him. The thought was chilling.

Why was it so hard to be nice to people? What did it say about her that she found it so easy to come here to help Ginji but so hard to show any sympathy for his situation?
She would have sighed, but she didn't want to give her patient the wrong idea...

"Thanks for this," he said as he exposed his mutilated leg. He needed to speak mostly to distract himself from the sight of his wounds. He felt a little sick when it was exposed.

But she could do something. "I'm going to start," she said, pulling one of her batteries from her pocket. "Please don't be alarmed." She didn't know where he was from, but some people might take exception to giant glowing, spinning triangles suddenly appearing beneath them.
She let the diagram spin for a few seconds while she prepared the spell. Mending tissue that was still mostly intact was easy, but where it was poorly-healed or missing altogether, things were not so easy. She needed to do a lot with a little... and fast. She'd experimented enough to know that free magical energy dissipated quickly here.
The casting itself was quick and wordless, though hardly subtle for that. The diagram, the hissing of the battery, the light that suffused Ginji's in the few seconds the spell actually did its work... it was all great window dressing, but what would have made the work impressive back home was how precisely she could control the effect. Still, she didn't mind putting on a bit of a show. Her reasoning from the previous night still had its place. The prisoners should be shown at every opportunity that they yet had strength.
When it was done, she stood and spoke. "That's the most I can do in one night. It probably feels better than it is-" Anything based off of Shamal's magic had that mildly narcotic, refreshing effect, "-so I'd suggest not testing it tonight. Please rest and see how it works tomorrow." She had confidence in the effect of the magic where she'd concentrated it, she'd been tackling a large wound with a small amount of magic... "And if it's still giving you trouble please don't hesitate to find me."

His leg, while still not completely healed, did feel much better, but he wasn't about to go against what she suggested. He still didn't have any of his own abilities back, he assumed that whatever his other self had done the night that he had been injured had taken the limited supply that he had had at this place.
"Wow. It's much better.," he said after she was done. "Thanks a lot." He looked at his leg and moved his ankle slightly. It still hurt, but not as much. "Are you going to be okay?" he asked, looking at her with a worried expression. He knew that doing anything at Landel's usually drained people pretty quickly. He couldn't express how grateful he was to her for doing this. "Do you need to rest a bit?"

"Have a safe night and quick recovery." Too formal-sounding? Well, at least she'd said it...
And with that, she let herself out.
