"I would like to see the results for the three of us first and find the lab equipment before I try to get a sample off Burnside," Wesker wanted to pick Birkin's brains for the secret to the virus in his blood, or perhaps find a way of recreating it based off any potential samples of it they might get out of his blood.

"I want to test people here to see if they are still infected. My virus isn't contagious, and won't infect anyone or anything else, but if Birkin and Burnside still both have their viruses..." Wesker wasn't sure how the virus would act in a situation like this. If this place could stop it from causing mutation in Birkin and Steve, or if they could keep it from spreading.

Though... he didn't think that either of them would be able to transmit the virus to someone else until they began to display symptoms. If they did still have the virus it was likely in numbers too small to cause any real effects.
