Barret grinned at the small story, the image that presented itself too amusing for words. He wished he'd been there to see that, "With all her faults, she's quick and can kick some ass. I think I might leave the flattery to Cloud--she'll listen to him." He held back on telling him his relationship with Yuffie was more strained than usual. Perhaps by the time they all got together she'd have gotten over it completely.

Barret nodded, but he internally stumbled. He always thought of Rufus to be the self preserving sort, but instead he was hearing that he felt it necessary to sacrifice himself if the time came and continue on with what he felt was most important.
