[getting dragged in from here (http://community.livejournal.com/damned/211588.html?thread=14803588#t14803588)]
Thursday followed her nurse reluctantly. She didn't have much of a choice in the matter; she was having enough trouble staying upright, and trying to run for it seemed entirely out of the question.
Ordinarily her mind would have been whirling with thoughts - just where was this institute, and what was it, and why the hell had Goliath decided to stick her here of all places - but she couldn't bring herself to care at the moment. Allowing her thoughts to roam towards any direction that wasn't moving one foot in front of the other might very well cause her to tip over.
She looked blearily around in something resembling surprise as they entered the cafeteria; she hadn't expected nearly so many people to be here. Some of them looked vaguely familiar, but she couldn't for the life of her think where. Had these people managed to piss Goliath off, too? Or were they really as crazy as the staff seemed to think she was?
Thursday nearly bumped into her nurse; the woman had stopped at a mostly-empty table. "Here we are, Mrs. Bellman!" she said cheerfully, no hint of her earlier irritation in her voice, and set a loaded tray down in front of her. "I'll leave you with Mr. Dalton. Be good, both of you!"
Thursday slumped obediently into her seat. Ignoring the food - she was hardly in the proper condition to eat anything at the moment anyway - she looked across the table at the man across from her and blinked owlishly.
no subject

And then blinked again.
Maybe once more for good measure.
