The transportation was practically instantaneous but Ilia felt it was similar to traveling via the Time Gate on the planet Styx. There was no glowing lights but the disorientation was familiar. She grasped around in the almost complete dark, trying to gain a hold on something. She ended up grappling with Seishin's arm.

"O-oh, sorry about that!" She let go of her friend and reached down to retrieve the flashlight she dropped in her dizziness. Once she had straightened back up, Ilia flashed the beam around and discovered they were back in the cavernous lake. That... was a lot easier than expected.
