The pair emerged from the thicker patches of trees at the bank of the river a few minutes later. Utena was about ready to toss her skirt into it by this point, she thought with fingers clenched over the fabric as she kept it lifted over the last of the catching undergrowth. "So what all did you guys find in that mine if not anything of Marc's?" she asked Taura as they slowed along bank, following the river upstream. "Anything useful?"

Castiel

[From here. In M39.]

Luckily, Castiel's room was about as close to the block's exit as you could get, and so it didn't take him long at all to reach M39. He knew his roommate wouldn't be there -- where had Kobayashi ended up, in all that chaos? -- and so he staggered in without caution, sending a worrying glance at the way that the stain on his shirt seemed to only be growing larger the more he left it untreated.

It didn't take him long to drag out the box that all of their items were stored in and then pull out his weapon. There was no telling how well he could even use it while injured, but that wouldn't stop him from trying if needed. Either way, having it in hand made him feel much more secure. It occurred to him that he might be able to search through all of Dean's items that had been mysteriously deposited here for something to help his wounds, but he ultimately decided that that would waste too much time, especially when Lingormr had assured him he had supplies.

And so, without further ado he moved back out into the hall and returned the way he'd come.

Chief Prosecutor Lana Skye

The door was locked, but just with a latch; the credit card they'd issued her for the trip was worth far more sliding down the thin space between jamb and door than it had been earlier. The latch clicked, and the door swung open with a loud creak.

Lana held the door open, gesturing for everyone to come in. In her other hand she'd grabbed one of the waiting-line chairs and was holding it, ready to jam it under the doorknob. As long as they were all inside before the zombies arrived, they'd be fine.

That was, of course, assuming the office was empty.

Tolten wasted no time in scrambling ahead of Locke through the window. This had nothing to do with self sacrifice or Locke trying to be noble - the treasure hunter wasn't the one the thing wanted! The young king tumbled rather unceremoniously into the dark inside of the book shop, landing with a soft 'oof'.

He rolled out of the way to clear room for Locke, not fancying having the other man climb through on top of him. At least it seemed quiet in here.
