Stepping through the door, Gamzee found himself in a larger room than the one they'd just left. It was also a great bit brighter, and he squinted against this brightness with a frown. His eyes were accustomed to the darkness, and the sudden light made it difficult for him to see for a few moments.

When he'd finally blinked the spots away, he walked further in to allow the other two room to pass around him. The pillowcase was set down, and he twirled a club idly in each hand, just taking everything in. It wasn't a room full or treasure, but it did look like a place he could mess around with the weapons he'd picked up. That could be fun too.

Sounds of bloodshed and carnage filled the hallways. Given the seemingly endless supply of monsters roaming the area, some patients might have wondered if they were going to be left to fight until they either destroyed every last creature, or exhaustion claimed them.

But then, suddenly, something changed. All of the individuals who had discovered their previous strength earlier in the night found such abilities draining from their bodies, leaving them just as weak and powerless as they'd been before. And though the institute could have easily wiped them out with the hordes of creatures that plagued the building and grounds, anyone fearing certain death would be relieved to find that they stopped just as abruptly as their powers left them. Some monsters collapsed in a heap, while others retreated into the dark – but, regardless, none of them were hostile toward the patients anymore.

Some way, somehow, the military regained control of the situation. But, as many patients were about to see, the tides of change were about to roll across the institute once more.
