Instead of slowly coming on with a low static, this night the radio almost seemed to snap on, with a loud screech that was certain to get the attention of anyone who was carrying one of the devices with them.

Neutralize? No, no, he wasn't neutralized.

The voice was Jill's, of course, but she seemed far more upset than she usually allowed herself to be. More than that, she was angry, to the point that she sounded somewhat short of breath.

He's badly hurt, though. Really badly. I need to get a hold of him, need to figure out where he is, and then you guys... you need to help him somehow.

Someone has to do this. This isn't just another clue, this is important. He'll be able to do more than I ever could.

Jill let out a breath, trying to control herself and calm down so that her words didn't run together too much.

If you're going to trust me on one thing, trust me on this. I'll let you all know as soon as I do.

Even though her message wasn't entirely clear, Jill left it at that, breaking off the signal as the hallways were drowned in silence once more.

Landing, Usopp leaned over to pick up the weapon, looking around as he did to try and see if there were any more signs of trouble. It was a little eerie to be coming right back to this spot after what had happened, especially considering that Usopp didn't really remember the route he'd taken yesterday to get here. At least the fight on the other side seemed contained for the moment. Usopp had noticed a distinct pattern of violence in his life, and thought yesterday's dose ought to last him for more than a while. Then again, the hand-held lights and the moon weren't enough to illuminate the entire space, with too many shadows for it to really feel safe at all. Actually, it looked like a good place for ambushing people, particularly if you weren't worried at all about hurting them.

The shed itself was sitting temptingly quiet and alone, and Usopp was eager to head toward it as soon as Scourge followed. Somehow, it just felt safer to be indoors, even if it really seemed more dangerous for the patients there.

The faded beam of light touched on no person that she could see. Shadowed chairs, too soft-looking for her liking, end tables piled with magazines... Other things that gave no use to their endeavor. No light-haired supposed pilot was to be found.

Stepping to the center of the room, Ayanami half-turned to look back at Ikari, flashlight catching on a second door. They could continue this way. Or they could go another. She had no preference in the path chosen.
