Renamon

With the door shut and Toph safe for the moment, Renamon allowed herself to think again. Her body would be feeling the pain soon, as soon as she calmed down, and she needed to search the outside before it set in. She didn't see anything, but she was learning that meant nothing. And then she realized she didn't need her flashlight.

Renamon stepped further out into the night. She was instantly more relaxed. Outside in the night? She was in her natural element. She wasn't confined in a dark place with walls that felt like death. She was outside, at night, when she was the most powerful. Well, when she was a Digimon.

At that second the pain decided to set in, and she breathed in sharply. That was it. She wouldn't wear the sweatshirt anymore, not if it got caught on things and got her hurt like this. She gently peeled it off, then examined what she could of her wound. It was long and diagonal, nearly the length of her upper arm, and seemed deep. She couldn't see the bone, but it was bleeding freely. An inch, maybe. She wasn't good at determining things like this. She balled up the sweatshirt and held it to the wound tightly.

Once all that was completed, then she looked around more thoroughly.

Alkaid was still nursing the hand she'd used to bust up the lock as she walked in. Why hadn't she gotten Badou to do it? Probably 'cause she felt the need to show off, but.. whatever. She might find something to hit the next door with in here. Or she'd just let him do it next time, but he had kind of saved her skin last night.

Considering how wacky this place was, Alkaid hadn't expected the doctor's offices to be anything like this. This one actually looked... kind of normal in the faint light she had to work with. As far as doctor's offices went. It was Western in style, with a comforting look to it. Not that she wanted to be checked up by any of the doctors here - she'd rather go jump off a cliff, really.

She turned back to Badou. "Well, get your light over here. Might as well start in the desk, right?" She didn't have a good feeling about this one, but whatever.

Aidou Hanabusa

The thumping and crumbling of marble was muffled as soon as they were through the doors. What the sounds of the creature's indiscreet rampage didn't drown out was the audible 'click' of a lock.

Aidou turned on the door and glared, still brushing elbows with Wolfram.

Locking automatically behind them? What the hell. Aidou had been at odds with himself since being dumped in Landel's, in turmoil over his loss of abilities and what his new limits were, but he hadn't lost so much confidence in himself that he could naturally assume he wasn't strong enough to push open a door. It wasn't that heavy. He wasn't that weak! The fact was that it hadn't moved at all for him, but swung open so easily when adding one buffoon and one half-blind kid who'd already been injured by a spider into the equation--overall, two people who had already proved that they didn't have physical strength that outrivaled his.

It didn't make any sense. Not unless it was rigged liked everything else...
