Cloud tilted his head to the side and gestured to the hallway around him. “There is always a choice, Kadaj. It is simply your decision on what you wish to do,” he murmured. He thought that he might have taken things a little too fast previously and maybe it would go better if he gave Kadaj a little more control over the situation. He was hoping for a better ending.
“Not much bothers me,” he replied and turned to continue walking down the hall. “I am working on letting things go gradually, since it seems to get me into trouble.” It had for a considerable amount of time, but the little things like what Kadaj was asking for really had no effect on him. He would just continue trying. “Besides, I would not expect things to change in one day. It may take weeks or months, but I guess I am in it for the long haul.”
His lips quirked upwards a little as he walked, swinging the baseball bat in his left hand slowly. “It was a rather lacking evening for me as well. I only really managed to get one thing done tonight, but there is always the next night. Were you attacked at all? I certainly saw no battle tonight.”
