Nightshift 26: Hallway Outside M1 - M40 Blocks

This corridor looked almost the same. Still quiet, though now he noticed more people about. At least that meant he hadn't run into any monsters. He ran along the hall until he saw the door that had caused him and Dr. Birkin so much trouble. From the day now, he knew that at the end of this hall was almost a lobby with the hall to the Sun Room and Cafeteria to the left. He didn't want to go there, so this was the end of the blocks. Right? No bathroom. He must have missed something.

Armand backtracked until he found another door that opened easily.

Jack shrugged. "This pirate at breakfast told me he found treasure last night. To me, cigarettes and booze ARE treasure, especially in a place like this."

He paused. "Don't tell me you don't like to have a little fun, Kou." He paused, let the prince go, and ruffled his hair. "Don't you wish we had something other than juice or water to drink here?"

That earned John a weak glare from the demon prince. Kougaiji didn't bother trying to sort down his hair, it was messy at its best anyhow. He shrugged a little, still following up with John.

"I don't have time for stuff like that often," he said simply. Too busy trying to wreck havoc in Shangri-la. "And in truth I don't get drunk easily." His hand was automatically raised to his ear and clawless fingertips tracing the round shell of an ear. "At least normally wouldn't. I don't know how much has changed since coming to this place."

"I bet you I could out drink ya, Kou. I'll bet you anything I could do it," smirked the Fable. "I'm not too bad at holding my liquor myself. If this 'treasure' in fact is sweet, sweet booze..." He leaned in and flashed a grin. "Then you, my friend, are on."

He kept walking.
