Nightshift 26 - M41-M50 Hall
Qui-Gon was in a mixed mood. On one hand, the maps from young Artemis Fowl would be incredibly helpful, and he had made sure to make extra copies for himself, Obi-Wan and anyone else he might pass it onto in the future. On the other, the intercom announcement was more than a little worrying. He had heard mention of other patients being taken for experimentation, only to released on their friends; it looked like that was true, if Martin Landel was to be believed.
The Jedi Master sighed, collecting the flashlight and the small collection of metal utensils that he'd collected with Obi-Wan last night. His meditation into the Force had been only slightly more fruitful than before, but he was nowhere near strong enough to help as much as he would like. There was no doubt in his mind that he wouldn't be able to use the Force to persuade the experimented patients that no, they didn't really want to hunt down their fellows, and they should listen to him just because he said so.
He wasn't too sure about the other areas mentioned, but he did know enough to avoid the Sun Room for now. Stepping outside, Qui-Gon prepared himself. Tonight his grasp on the Force wasn't as strong as it had been when Obi-Wan was knighted. But even now he could feel the swirl of anger, fear, and hate around him, dotted with the moving "holes" that were the Earthian creatures and the staff. The fear and anger, he was unfortunately familiar with. The galaxy, despite the efforts of good people, was a regrettably nest of such emotions. But the holes in the Force, the sense of void, would never be familiar.
And he would have to watch for both, it seemed. The dangers tonight wouldn't just be the creatures, or the staff. Qui-Gon turned and headed down the hall, extending his senses as far as he was able.

"He hid some stuff, but he didn't exactly say where, or what it was. Something about a ... fire demon being hidden where it's fires are dormant, and there was something else hidden in the stacks. And I couldn't get the last part."
Now that Luke actually said those riddles out loud, they made even less sense, and he sort of felt stupid for even pausing to consider the man on the radio's words.
"Uh, never mind. Hey, Claude." Luke waved back to the blond. He didn't seem too surprised when Claude mentioned possible danger in the Sun Room, but his expression darkened. That guy from two nights ago... was he back in there? Luke partly wanted to charge right back in and warn anyone going that way, but he wouldn't be able to actually do anything about it.
He didn't want to get beaten up like last time, after all. If there was something Luke hated, it was feeling useless.
"... Why don't you come with us? We're missing Masaru, after all. Another guy wouldn't hurt," Luke suggested, looking to Asch. Claude seemed like a good guy, and if he didn't have anywhere to go...

A fire demon hidden where its fires are dormant... Water could put out fires, so somewhere with water? Or maybe ice? On second thought, it seemed odd for this place to have any rooms like that (even though nothing about this place made sense in the first place). So, somewhere cold?
Well, it was something to think about.
All things considered, he really should've expected Claude to be invited along once he admitted to having second thoughts about the kitchen. On the plus side, though, his roommate seemed to be someone who could hold his own if it came down to it. And, realistically, having someone else with them would probably be a good idea. Strength in numbers and all that... even if the God-General was still trying to get used to that concept here.
"Fine," Asch replied, looking first to Luke, then to Claude. "I alredy told you what our plans were. If you want to come with us, you can."

For a moment, he considered going back to his room and retrieving his own radio. But, not for the first time, he realized that he'd simply start slowing himself down if he carried much else. Besides, he'd done well enough last night without it, and it was probably better not to overwhelm himself with too much to chew on. Not when he had so little time to work with as it was.
When he was invited to come along on their outing, Claude couldn't help but feel inwardly delighted upon being included. Even if scouting out the file room hadn't initially been in his plans, it was certainly better than aimlessly wandering the building alone. He could use this as an opportunity to learn more about the building's layout and add more to his map. Besides, as far as he knew, neither Asch nor his companion were properly armed, so it was probably better that they travel in a group anyway.
Somehow, that was more acceptable to him than moving around with Dias and Ashton, who were both equipped with proper weapons. In his mind, it was better to help do the protecting, rather than be with people who anticipated on protecting him.
"Uh, yeah, I wouldn't mind coming along," Claude replied, the tiniest trace of a grin on his face. He didn't want to let on quite how pleased he was, though, so he swiftly got down to business. "I've already got all my things together, so I can head out whenever."

"Great! Oh, yeah, my name is Luke. I don't know if Asch told you or not," Luke grinned sheepishly, scratching the back of his head. Ok, they got names all down and such... he guessed it was time to go.
Obviously, Luke wasn't too excited about going back go to the same room, but where else could they go? Masaru had the map... and Luke couldn't remember for the life of him what the name of that girl he got it from was. Damn, he'd have to ask later.
There was no more reason to wait, Luke guessed, so he started down the hall with everyone else.
