Day 26 Nightshift: Hallway Outside of F & M Blocks

[[ from here. ]]

Just a bit further now, just a bit further into the woods before the wolf would pounce on her. At least he wouldn't be wearing her grandmother's clothes this time. That ruse was always so irritating, not to mention amateur of a skilled assassin.

But wolves had never been proper assassins anyway. The steel blade was pointed and flew.

"Just 'Sakura' is fine," she assured the more pleasant of the two, young men. To the other, she simply arched an eyebrow at the mention of a "double date."

"Actually, I've got plans for the evening. I just thought I'd take a walk with Relena and meet her friends," she replied pleasantly enough, refraining (surprisingly) from smacking the joker upside the head herself. Fancy herself a ninja. Apparently, the small group already had plans for the evening, so she could leave Relena in their (hopefully) capable hands. With that she smiled and waved, turning to make the trek to Sasuke-kun's room.

"Sorry to leave so soon, but it was nice meeting you all," she called over her shoulder, perhaps a bit too sweetly before her hand shot up out of nowhere, letting a single pen fly with enough speed and force to actually injure something if it made contact with the flesh. It was aimed to just swish by Duo's head before bouncing off the wall behind him.

"And just to answer your question?" Sakura continued in the oh-so-sweet voice as she waved a hand over her back. "I am a ninja, thank you very much. Have a nice night!"

It was all Quatre could do not to face palm when Duo made his comment. He bowed his head once again as the girl left. "Be careful, Sakura," he said, concern obvious on his face. It was the best he could do in face of the folly of wishing her a 'good night'. After the girl was gone he couldn't help but grin at Duo. "I'm sure you'll be getting her number soon," he said, joking for a second before he got much more serious and turned to Relena. He didn't leave time for Duo to think of another come-back, just simply went straight to business.

"We need to get out, but from what I can see there are people that have been trying that and haven't gotten very far, so I'm amusing the front door or the back door won't work. Not that they ever do," a slight pause for a frown. "I would say we should try the basement, but without weapons that would be foolish. So first, we should find weapons. Do you have any idea where we can find some?" He looked at Relena, far apart from thinking that she couldn't handle herself he was now acting as if she was the leader of their party, and he was merely making a suggestion. She had, after all, been in the hospital the longest.

Duo didn't mean any harm with his words. He was a friend to all ladies, of course. But he had the sense to duck out of the way when the pen came flying in the direction of his head, even if it wasn't meant to hit. He waited until the girl was out of sight before leaning down to pick it up.

"Yeah, she wants me," Duo grinned, saying nothing more.

Her phone number? He had every intention of getting her room number. But that would have to wait for later. When Quatre asked Relena about weapons, Duo turned to look at her as well. He had no idea what Relena would know about getting weapons in a place like this, but she was the longest standing resident between the three of them.

"Guns seem to be in short supply if people are running around with pens for weapons, huh?"

Relena rolled her eyes. She knew Sakura could handle herself, but she didn't want Duo permanently damaged if her roommate didn't think he was harmless.

As for weapons.... "I haven't heard of any guns here, but I think I've heard others talk about making other kinds of weapons - swords and the like." She didn't know exactly who were the makers or how they did it, but she had seen some of the notes on the bulletin board. "And there has to be different kinds of knives in the kitchen, considering some of the foods we've had."
