Day 26: Men's Showers (fourth shift)
The concept of showering with a bunch of children terrified him, but he refused to let it show. He was over 130 years old, and they wanted him to get naked and bathe, surrounded by kids very nearly a tenth his age. It was certainly inappropriate. On the other hand, he had to shower. It was his third day in this asylum, and he had not been given the opportunity for a shower yet. The idea of wiping off the filth of the last two nights seemed ideal.
Thankfully, he seemed to be the first one there. Maybe if he were quick about it, he could shower and leave before too many of the children came in. He got undressed, and stared at the showers for a second. They were significantly different from the ones he was accustomed to, but after a small amount of trial, error, and scalding hot water, he managed to figure out the system.
He'd just need to get through the showers quickly and efficiently, and then get the hell back to the sun room.

His own towel was set aside and he stepped to the side towards another showerhead, turning away for a moment to mess with the dials, not entirely picking up on Kyon's wandering gaze--which was an extremely good thing for him that he hadn't! After the water was turned on and set at a decent temperature, Keigo slid under, making sure to get his hair wet before speaking again, "Same... I don't really remember much about.. getting here, though.."
He looked a bit confused, but tried his best to keep himself composed as he continued, "Huu... I know I'm not crazy, thoughhh...~" Tsk. Of course he had to bring that up. And before long, his mind was racing, the exact opposite of what he had wanted it to do! He leaned over just slightly, eyes narrowing on Kyon's face, "You look Japanese.. you suppose this is some kind of.." he looked around himself before whispering shakily, "conspiracy?"

At least the guy probably understood what his mind had been going through all day long. He glanced at him again as he stated he wasn't crazy. 'Well, that made two of us,' he thought to himself as he turned back to the wall.
The conspiracy thing made him blink though. Wait, what? "A conspiracy? By who?" he looked at him now, curioius about what he was thinking. Was this guy just paranoid or did he have something there. (Kyon was more leaning towards paranoid but, whatever}

Keigo's eyes lit up when Kyon responded to his question and he clenched his fists tightly, "B-by like, the government or something!" He looked around again, "or maybe like, aliens!" He shook his head, obviously getting pumped, "Or.. or.. ghosts!" hahaha. Ichigo would be proud. Yeah right. "I mean, I'm not crazy, and you're not crazy..!" .. he certainly was starting to sound crazy, though.
His leg twitched painfully as the water trickled down into the exposed wound and Keigo flinched, remembering that little tidbit of information, "And, and, and.. there's monsters here!! Monsters!!" Oh, God, poor Kyon. Keigo's latest victim.

Only not really.
Keigo may have though he was sounding crazy, but he was actually making perfect sense to Kyon. (Except that ghost bit. What the hell, there were no such things as ghosts. ....Unless Haruhi wanted there to be, but he wasn't going to think about that possibility.)He looked around for the soap to wash his body with and spotted a bar. Ugh, it looked used. He debated using the shampoo instead.
He noticed the guy was starting to go off about monsters and suddenly he reminded him of Haruhi. The idea of anyone reminding him of Haruhi made him want to shudder but he repressed it, instead he went for answering him, "I haven't seen any yet..." His eyes went to his leg.
"Ouch."

His expression hardened and his voice went serious, though still obviously shaky, "It attacked me and.. this other guy I was walking around with.." Logan. Keigo had been a coward and left him alone. The guilt he felt for that was overwhelming, but he couldn't help it. Things got scary and he was injured. To run was the first and only response his brain had programmed into it, mostly from years of being bullied.
But, he couldn't think about that right now. Keigo looked back up and scoffed, an unnatural scowl on his face, "The nurses said.. I did to myself." And that in itself was just ridiculous, especially if one knew what type of person Keigo was. His ego was probably big enough to fill that entire room at times and the last thing he would ever do would be inflict harm on his "perfect" body.

"He was in a wheelchair, the first one. He told me he was missing peices out of both his legs," he shuddered, the thought of not being able to use his legs disturbed him. It so happened to be his most used body part, thank you very much. That's all he really did back home was run around and try not to get killed, or ...get anyone else killed of course.
"I think the nurses are full of shit," he went on to say, "This whole place is." He went back to his shower and started to rinse off
Huh, shampoo didn't make a half bad body wash.

"..Missing.. pieces.." Keigo seemed to pale over, a twitch developing under his eye. Oh God, oh God! It IS like a horror movie!! Keigo thought frantically, trying his best not to hyperventilate. "Bu-but.. why would.. why.. why would the nurses.. why would anyone.." Keigo sputtered. It was obvious that he was having difficulties expressing his thoughts, but that was to be expected after gaining such a crucial piece of information.
"I..." Keigo let the water run over himself and he shook his head, "I don't understand...! Are we here to .. to be toyed with and then.. what? K-killed off by.. monsters?!" Keigo wasn't far away from getting overly-frantic, if the way his voice faltered was any indication.

Instead he gave him his best sympathetic look and said, "I don't know. That's what I'd like to find out,"
He hated being locked up in this place as much as everyone else, and while he'd never let it show, the fact that he was utterly cut off from his world, from Nagato and her power or from Koizumi and his Orginization (Or hell, even Asahina0san and her tea)he was terrified out of his mind.
He was on his own for the most part. Something he wasn't entirely used to.

He really wanted someone there to just shake him out of this emotional rut he was in. Ichigo and his kicks, Chad's calmness and general presence, or even Mizuiro with his cutting sarcasm and distant way of speaking to him were all ways that helped Keigo manage to keep his wits about him and prevent himself from thinking too much. But none of them were there, that he knew of, so for the first time, he had to handle a potentially life-threatening situation by himself.
The worst thing was that Keigo wasn't sure if he could handle it alone.
Nevertheless, Keigo smiled. Smiling would help him cope, somehow, "Ah, thank you for that.. er.." he looked a bit nervous for a moment before he started up talking again, "..I didn't .. introduce myself, did I? Hahaha..." Too much on his mind. Bad, bad, bad. "I'm Asano Keigo! What's your name?" Think about other things, Keigo. Keep yourself optimistic.

As, so he was Japanese, too. He'd looked it when he first saw him but his name confirmed it. Now that he really thought about it, there was a striking amount of people from Japan here. Maybe it really was some kind of conspiracy? Of all the people he'd met so far, only two of them he could remember were western.
Oh right, name. Dammit, why had he let his nickname get so used around here already. Well, there was no sense in giving his real name if half the play already knew his nickname. Whatever. "Kyon. Nice ...er, meeting you." He really had wished it was maybe in some other place ...not the communal showers.
With that, Kyon turned the dials and shut the water off before wrapping his towel around his waist. Now that he was clean enough, he could recover some of his dignity
