DAY 26: Men's Showers (Second Shift)

Gluttony didn't want to leave his Lust, not after he'd just found her!  But the mean tasty nurses said he had to.  "You can't join her in the women's showers" was a bad excuse.  He didn't like the mean tasty nurses.  Maybe Lust would let him eat them later.  Still, he knew he would see his Lust again, and that was good.  He liked Lust.  She was good and beautiful and smart and kind.  Why did they have to take him away from his Lust?

Still, he would see her again.  And she would tell him it was okay to eat the tasty nurses, and that would be good.  His new friend liked eating people, too.  That made him happy to find a friend who shared a love for eating people.  Today was a very good day.

As he entered the showers, he stood under a shower head and opened his mouth wide to drink up the water.  It wasn't as good as eating people, or eating waffles that didn't scream when he bit into them so weren't nearly as good as eating people, but it was still swallowing something, and that made him feel better.

Qui-Gon nodded. That could be decidely awkward, trying to work together with people who made it quite clear they hated you. Qui-Gon didn't feel he needed to pry into what exactly was between these others and Gin; all he needed to know was that if they would put their differences aside and try to work toward the goal of escape. Qui-Gon knew that deciding now to try to slip into the traditional Jedi role of mediator would be difficult without the Force or his lightsaber, but old habits were hard to lose.

The Jedi Master began to lather soap over his skin. "It appears you have worked out the differences between you and Renji," he said.

Gin got a small bit of shampoo from the dispenser and scrubbed his hair. The other wounds were healing well enough. That, at least, was one positive to things. He wiped a stray drip of soapy water before it got in his eyes. "B'lieve it or not, I was gonna talk to him this hour, but looks like someone else got there first. You could say we worked a few things out," Gin admitted. "But that doesn' mean he's any more likely t'listen to anythin' I say more n' he would his breakfast waffles."

He shook his head under the water a few times. His hair was short, so it didn't take long before the water ran clear. Flipping it out of his eyes, he went for soap next. "Which is a pity really. F'all Abarai-kun's work, he needs a better strategist, ne? Got the numbers, but not direction." He gave a shrug, disinfecting his wounds first, out of habit. "N' me, I got jus' the opposite. Seems a waste."
