"Ah, that is true," Aigis whispered, stepping quickly after Sechs. The thought of going back to get a nice gun for herself was tempting; perhaps with the security down there wouldn't be the usual duel against monsters for a prize. But there was no time for that now. She just hefted the pillowcase over her shoulder and stepped up into the cold room.
The sound of blasts, thuds, stumbling feet, cries and vicious snarls could be heard through the walls and floors. Prisoners and monsters, and perhaps rebels, all of them caught up in what was surely a dangerous fight. They would need to move quickly if they wanted to get far before they found themselves in the tussle as well.
"The library? Let us make haste then." Aigis had never seen any staircase in there but she wasn't going to question Sechs' knowledge. Quickly, she followed him into the next room.
