Night 73: Sun Room
[From here.]
Even as Castiel took a few bold steps into the Sun Room, he didn't sense anything out of the ordinary. He hesitated for only a second or two, waiting for someone to inevitably show themselves, but when that didn't happen he nodded to himself and veered to the right, moving at a quick pace.
While he wasn't resorting to outright running, he was making a beeline for the library door. If Kratos and Lloyd knew what was good for them, they'd be fast on his heels.

The room was completely silent, without a trace of any fighting to be seen. Of course, that could often be the case even when there was something here, so Kyousuke still made his was across slowly, carefully assessing every inch of the room to help prevent an ambush. But for once, it really did look like they were alone.

There was only so much that one or two people entering a large furnished room from the same point could do to clear it, particularly if their only goal was to pass through a corner of it quickly without being caught or hurt. Turning off his flashlight had allowed his eyes to adjust to the darkness, and although the skylight meant that this room was never absolutely pitch dark, keeping the flashlight at hand might mean the chance to temporarily blind anything they might encounter.
He checked the near corners with brief glances, then checked up and down, then pivoted around the door frame and moved to the right, not taking any more time than he needed to. So far, so good: nothing untoward turning up in any of the angles. Six other doors aside from their entrance and their destination, but there was nothing he could do about that except shoot at anything that moved, assuming he was able to see it in time.
It occurred to him that Lana might have questions about how a university student knew how to clear a room. He was no longer devoted enough to the entire charade to care more about preserving it than about their tenuous safety, especially when the patient population's numbers were on such a steep decline. Still, if the questions came up, she might not actually get around to asking them.
They moved along the wall; he kept his back to it. Their footsteps were quiet on the carpet.
The library would be darker, and once they were in it, they might easily be trapped there. The shelves meant it would be almost impossible to clear. Although their luck had been good so far, he couldn't count on it lasting.

Korra pushed through the doors, looking around the Sun Room as she darted for the doors to the library. It seemed empty, but it wouldn't have been the first time she'd dashed right into danger.

Scar entered the Sun Room with quick but silent steps, eyes straining in the low light provided by the moon. Were they alone? It seemed so...
He checked back, making sure that the others were still there.
