Night 71: Intercom, End of Night
When the night ended and the intercom turned on, something that was almost unprecedented took place. It was something that had happened maybe a handful of times before, but regardless, it would be enough to attract the patients' attention.
Because there was silence. No voice to cackle at the patients or to leave ominous words for them to dwell on as they woke. Nothing but static, which hummed through the speakers for a good thirty seconds before the intercom clicked off again. It was almost like it had turned on and off on a timer, and with that done with, the night transitioned to morning...
