Day 25: Sun Room (Fourth Shift)

The concept of gardening in the greenhouse was not one that Hitsugaya was particularly fond of. It was likely exceptionally warm inside, whereas the young captain had a preference for cold climates. He also needed to make himself available for anyone who happened to want to speak with him. The sun room overall seemed the best choice.

As a warm and cheerful nurse led him into the sunroom, he glanced around. At the moment he was the first one there, which was good, as it meant he could keep an eye out for one of the many individuals who had expressed curiosity about the 'arts and crafts' division. It also meant he could watch out for Omi or this Hellsing woman. He excused himself from the nurse and proceeded to a seat that gave him a good view of the entrance. If not for the fact that he was being held here against his will, he might have felt happy. Real rice. He hadn't had time to eat as much as he had hoped, what with his meeting with Mustang, but he still ate a lot more than he'd had the opportunity previously. Even Momo seemed to be acting more like normal.

As unpleasant as the day had begun, it was turning out to be a good day.

Ed shrugged dismissively. "And now I'm not laying out." Wasn't as though there was a lack of space either. Even if Alfons did sit down, he could still stretch out a little (not that he wouldn't punch anyone who commented on it).

"Uh... it's fine, really," Ed replied. Geesh, Did Alfons really think he'd have just left them there to get eaten or something? He wasn't heartless. "Don't worry about it."

Alfons knew better than to mention the fact that Ed could easily stretch out, for two good reasons. The first was obvious, as not even Alfons would be immune to Ed's temper. The second, well... not so obvious. But if Ed wanted to rest his head in Alfons's lap, or lean against his shoulder, or something... the German would have liked that.

As for the second part? The taller boy intertwined his fingers, glancing at Ed every now and again before looking back at his lap. "I know, it's not much at all to you, but for me it's... well, kind of a big deal." A nervous chuckle- it had been, literally, a matter of life and death, after all.

"I never saw anything like that before... and yet you and the others took them down without any problems. It was really something."

Ed did stretch out a little, wiggling his bare toes and trying to get a little off the sitffness out of his leg. Definitiely been cooped up for too long. Hopefully whatever Adel wanted to talk about wouldn't take too long and he could sneak off to do something productive. Assuming no-one came after him for weapons or something. He didn't mind for people like Tamaki and Renji, but it tired him out enough to stop him going and doing things elsewhere.

He waved his hand dismissively. "The cats are pretty easy to take you. Their skulls seem kinda' fragile. And belly wounds bleed a lot. That's how you take them out. Me and Adel have just had more practice."
