Day 70: Crossroad's Bar and Casino (Afternoon)

His time in the bar had gone far more smoothly than the last after Kurogane had agreed to the immediate demand that, if he wanted to stay, he couldn't drink straight from the bottle this time. That had been the only reason he'd been forced out during the last trip, and that had been without the added bother of Fai making him angry. Now that his only worry was what might happen after the sun went down, the ninja hadn't given the man so much as a second thought once they'd split off of the buses. Fai knew where he could find him, so long as he'd been listening during that part, and Kurogane didn't care either way if he appeared or not.

All he really cared for was that he was able to drink without the possibility of any children coming around to bother him. He was pretty sure Tsubaki was too young to enter this place, and that she was the oldest of the kids he knew.

Still, he did keep glancing at the door on the chance that he would see someone he knew - welcome or not - as he drank. He was ever ready for the unexpected.

Fai was fairly content with his wanderings around town. He had indulged in some morning ice cream, wandered by the toy shop and gotten a souvenir, and now it was time to harass a certain ninja. He had been listening when Kurogane talked, sometime he did more then he let on. Now he headed to the bar with his new walkie talkies in hand.

Walking in it wasn't hard to spot Kurogane. Of course Fai knew he could find him no matter where he was if he really set his mind to it. He lifted his hand and waved in a rather enthusiastic fashion.

"Kuro-nii, I'm here!" There was a good likelihood that everyone in the bar now knew Fai was there.

Fai made his way over and smiled at the bartender as he sat down beside Kurogane. "I'll behave, I promise~" Fai wasn't about to do anything that would get him kicked out, though he was fully capable of it.

He placed one of the walkie talkie toys on the counter in front of the ninja. "I got you a present. She let me take a red one for you, and I picked a blue one for me." Fai held up his own proudly before tucking it away.

"I don't really know if they will work but if they do then they might come in handy."

"The nice lady at the toy store! She said that this is some sort of radio that we can talk to each other with."

Fai ordered just a water and leaned on the counter as he looked over at Kurogane. "Maybe now we don't have to worry about passing each other if one heads to the other's room."

Fai gave a little shrug, "Even toys can be useful. They might not work when we are really far away, but might between our rooms."

Fai lifted his up again and pointed to the button after turning it on. He had made sure to have the Lady explain to him how it worked since he certainly had never used one of these before and he figured Kurogane hadn't either.

"Push that button when you talk.." Fai lifted the box to his lips to show him, "And then you just talk into it and the other person hears you."

Fai pouted a little when it didn't work but then tilted his head curiously as he watched Kurogane dismantle the toy. "Batteries?" He turned his attention back to his own device and flipped open the trap as well.

"So it needs something else in order to work...I wonder if we have some back at the institute or if it is something we will have to get here."

Fai wasn't sure if he had what he needed in the room. Honestly he hadn't done much rummaging around in the meager belongings inside the mental hospital cell.
