Day 69: Courtyard

Link was feeling overall good as he was escorted outside after breakfast. The food had been good, and the weather was nice. It wasn't so cold anymore, but still comfortable. He much preferred coming outside to being cooped up in that stuffy, dull building. The Hylian was trying to remain positive. They had the cure now, did they not? People were getting better.

The death toll was impossible to ignore, though.

He sighed, hands in his pockets as he shuffled through the grass and settled himself on the lawn. This was nice. At least, it was as nice as things could get around here. Link's mind drifted back home, back to Ordon and Hyrule and Midna and Zelda. Everything was okay there, now. And he couldn't even see it for himself.

"And you are still young! So you have plenty of time to continue growing stronger in your skills!" Lee was quite adamant about this. Of course, in his eyes you weren't old until you let yourself think you were too old. As long as Link was willing to keep going...

Lee looked him over. He seemed pretty well-muscled. Well enough, anyway, even with the unflattering gray shirt and pants. His smile quirked into a smirk. "I have never learned swordplay, but perhaps if you are in need of more practice sometime we can spar!"

"Yes! I know a great many martial arts! If you feel uncomfortable sparring against me with a sword you needn't worry! I have had much practice fighting against armed opponents in battle with only my fists and feet."

Sometimes when fighting came into the conversation Lee's mouth could run faster than his feet, and they were pretty darn fast! However, he rarely recognized this flaw and just kept on talking and gesturing wildly in the same enthusiastic way that he tackled anything in life.
