Day 68: Patient Library

The last thing that Castiel had expected was to come across a demon like that, and while Soushi appeared to only be part-demon, it was still a return to formula that Castiel hadn't encountered in some time. He'd been caught up in his own illness for the last few days, and while finding one demon (who might or might not require observation) didn't set him back on the track to stopping the Apocalypse, it still felt like a step in the right direction.

Castiel knew that busying himself with the other patients wasn't as important as stopping Martin Landel, or at least escaping this place, but nonetheless, angels stopped demons, or at least kept an eye on them. While he realized that he wouldn't be able to do much to stop one, seeing how he had very little of his divine power at the moment, he still had a blade and he knew how to use it.

Of course, he also had to consider that he was still so injured that he was on crutches.

He heard the crack of thunder outside, only a few moments after he'd hobbled his way back into the building, and it reminded him of archangels, of the end times, of the things that this place had forced him to abandon.

His nurse asked him where he wished to go, and without thinking he named the library. It would be good to have a quiet place to put his thoughts in order.

By the time he made it there, his arms were sore from using the crutches, and so he was quick to find a table where he could rest. His nurse dropped his bagged lunch onto the table and after a moment of contemplation, he grabbed for it.
