His talk with Castiel hadn't exactly helped his mood. He supposed learning that surgery was an option was something to be thankful for, but Kotetsu wasn't strong enough or desperate enough yet to have someone try it on Barnaby. In fact, it made him all the more resolute in finding a low-risk cure that didn't involve splitting his partner open.
There was still time to find an alternative route. The blond had changed back during the day, so they knew it wasn't permanent, at least for now. He had new information on this St. John person thanks to his roommate, so they had a better direction to start looking... Or at least he did. It was hard to come to terms with the fact he would be the one having to find this cure after working with Barnaby for years. The older man felt exposed without another pair of eyes guarding his back. Hopefully he wouldn't get killed before saving his partner. That would be just damn shameful.
The more he thought about it, the more defeated he felt. So much for a pep talk! Shaking his head to dispel those counterproductive thoughts, Kotetsu quickly stormed over to his wardrobe and changed into Wild Tiger. If he got to Barnaby before he changed, he could help point him in a better direction with their new information.
