Night 66: M11-M20 Hallway
[M13]
When the doors unlocked throughout the hallways, Facilier was more than ready to begin his exploration of the institute once Rock Lee arrived as planned. However, he wasn't so eagerly prepared for what could happen with his roommate Hakkai...
The Bokor gathered his things in silence so tense that it nearly solidified the air surrounding him. He constantly kept his eye fixated on his roommate, ever watching for any change emerging from the corner of his suspicious vision. Meanwhile, Facilier's Shadow remained inconspicuously natural, yet he could feel its energy tingling as it was ready to leap into action at the slightest sign of danger towards its master.
Thoughts of killing off his roommate now before anything happened did cross Facilier's mind -- if not dozens of times by now! But he dared not dirty his hands unless it was absolutely necessary. It didn't help that Rock Lee was sure to show up any moment now either; Facilier couldn't trust the boy to remain silent about finding Hakkai's untransformed dead body in his room. He would just have to deal with this unbearable tension until he could exit to the hallway or fight once things became dire.
For now, Facilier took out his costume cane from his closet and leaned it against his desk close to where he rested his hand. Keeping Hakkai within his sight, Facilier sat down to eat the rest of his dinner, his finger constantly twitching towards the handle of his cane as he waited.

The Bokor cringed from the attack going on above but remained tucked away inside his closet. All his focus was narrowed down on Lee's attack and he nearly gave out a whoop of triumph when the shinobi successfully stabbed Hakkai with the glass shards. "Yes, Lee!" Facilier vindictively thought to himself, his hands balled up into fists as he watched the bloody scene unfold before him. "Kill him! Do the dirty work for me! KILL HIM!"

"Oi!" Lee cried out loudly, trying to get the attention of his opponent. Whether he received it or not was immaterial, but it was worth a shot.
Not having time to wait to be sure he got the reaction he wanted, Lee reared back and smashed his forehead forward, trying to headbutt Hakkai's face. He had always been told he was head-strong and hard-headed. Time to put those insults to the ultimate test.

He hissed, a weird, feral sound, and grabbed the shard with the full force of his grip, shattering it. If he couldn't free it, the boy wouldn't have it as a weapon either. The vines, responding to his shift in temperament, started lashing out more aggressively - but they weren't dodging as well, either.
[OOC: Feel free to break more than just his nose - the pain might be enough to push him unconscious at this point]

"LEE! Take Hakkai out NOW before he goes completely berserk!" Facilier shouted, "He could kill us all if we don't stop him!"
While Facilier called out his warning, his Shadow had become swallowed up by the mass of twitching weeds. Almost every part of its snake body had been tangled and knotted up, rendering both it and Facilier painfully curled in on themselves and unable to move. For a moment it seemed the Shadow had lost the fight against the enraged vines, but it had another trick up its sleeves (or in this case scales). The serpentine Shadow curled up once more into a quivering ball -- then exploded back into its human form! The sudden growth and addition of limbs proved to be too much for most of the vines, snapping and tearing them apart in the Shadow's flourishing transformation.

Lee couldn't have that. As a fighter it was his duty to protect everyone else, even with his injuries. He couldn't use his free hand now, but he wasn't out of ammo yet! Feeding another chakra burst into his legs, Lee jumped and slammed both feet into Hakkai's chest. His goal was to land double damage with both the assault on Hakkai's ribs and possibly throwing him back to smash his head against the wall.
The power from the blow also threw Lee across the room where he slammed into the wall again, crying out when he heard and felt his shoulder crack. Pain throbbed through his head and back, intense and aching.

It was enough of a distraction that he didn't have time to try and turn the kick to his advantage. He could feel ribs crack under the force of the blow, and it sent him flying up against the wall, cracking his head, hard. His vision went black with the blow - and then consciousness went with it. He slumped to the floor, his own blood soaking through his clothes.

"No, no, NO!" Facilier gave out a strained gasp of horror as he watched Lee collapse to the floor after smashing into the wall a second time. He gripped into his hair and shook his head at the pitiful sight before rushing in to the fallen shinobi. "Merde!" His little toy solider couldn't be broken already! He still needed his fighting prowess if he was going survive and finish off his deal with Landel! He was too good to be done now!
Fitting his top hat back on, Facilier glared over his shoulder at Hakkai's prone form, his violet eyes scanning for any signs of life. Hakkai had to be dead from all that damage! Nothing should survive all that kicking and stabbing and ripping and tearing! And if he was somehow still alive, all that blood loss was sure to finish him off! Still, the Bokor could barely fight the anxious urge to make sure that the job had been done. He took a step towards Hakkai, but a groan from Lee caused Facilier to pause. He could either risk getting them killed by a still-living Hakkai or get out now and make sure that his minion survived to help him for more nights to come. To Facilier's business-orientated mind, the latter option was the most beneficial to his success.
Shooting one last grimace at Hakkai, Facilier gathered his cane and flashlight before turning around to help Lee. "C'mon boy! We need to get outta here!" Facilier carefully helped Lee up to his feet while his dark doppelganger gently supported the boy up by his shadow. Wasting no more time in the bloody room, the Bokor and his Shadow walked Lee out into the hallway, leaving Hakkai behind.

Facilier's call and a hand on his arm, pulling, reawakened Lee's shinobi instincts and he scrambled to his feet. Still a little out of it, Lee stumbled along with the person pulling him. Persons. There was someone else helping him but he couldn't see them, just feel a second pair of hands supporting him on one side. Very strange.... Yes, he must definitely have a concussion.
Lee at least had the presence of mind to knock the flashlight he had left in the doorway with his foot out into the hall so he wouldn't leave it. Or perhaps his foot just found it on accident. He wasn't really sure anymore, to be quite honest.

The room was a disaster. Gren could tell that before he even turned on the flashlight. He had no idea what had happened--were these rooms no longer safe at all?--and only after a second sweep with his flashlight did he notice the slumped figure in the midst of it all.
"Hakkai?" There was blood... and that overrode any sense of caution he might have otherwise had, moving to the man's side, setting the knife down on the floor as he attempted to determine the extent of the man's injuries.

His breathing was shallow and raspy, though he was still breathing. Up close, though, it was hard to miss the weaving vines, or the way his ears tapered to a long point now, even as his silver limiter cuffs still hooked on them.

There was enough blood around that he didn't know where he should start... but he knew that so long as he stayed alive most of the damage would be treated come daybreak. And while he was worried that he'd hit his head, instinct told him not to try and move him enough to check, in case he made things worse.
In the end, he went for the most obvious, trying to gingerly pull as much of the glass from Hakkai's hands.

"Hakkai. It's okay," he called out while simultaneously scrambling back to try and avoid those shadowy vines, the sight of them dragging the memories he'd been trying to bury the last few days back to the surface.

"Damnit, Hakkai. I'm not trying to hurt you!" Maybe this time something would sink in.

He tried to summon a chi blast, but as soon as the energy started to gather, he felt light-headed, his vision dimming. He simply didn't have the strength left to pour into it.
