Day 64: Intercom, Noon
As the nurses began to get ready to escort patients out of the cafeteria, the intercom jingle sounded over the intercom.
"Good afternoon, patients!" the Head Doctor's voice cheerfuly boomed through the speakers. "I hope everyone is pleasantly full from today's brunch selection! Some of you have a nice surprise waiting for you at the front of the building. Those who have visitors today will be escorted by their nurses to meet them. We hope you're looking forward to it!"
There was a brief pause that was only punctuated by the shuffling of papers.
"As for today's movie selection, the votes are in, aaaaand it looks like 'Jesus Christ Superstar' -- the original 1973 version, of course -- took first place. The nurses have kindly set up a projection screen in the Sun Room, where our show will be playing for both third and fourth shift. Feel free to grab a chair and watch for however long you'd like. Otherwise, everyone has a free choice of where to go for this shift. Enjoy!"
The intercom clicked off, leaving everyone to pick where they'd like to go for the shift -- that is, unless they were "lucky" enough to receive a visitor.
((Like the announcement says, there's a movie playing in the Sun Room, but it's also free choice. Visitors will take place in Waiting Room / Lobby 1 and 2. Let us know if you have any questions!))
