Dayshift 64: Doctor's Office 8 (Dr. Cox) [second shift]
The day was new, and the office was fresh as ever thanks to the cleaning staff doing a proper job over the one day break. Everything was in place, and the tiniest scent of pine could still be smelled wafting from the polished wood furniture. The only problem with the scene was that there was no one yet in the office to take it all in. Both the chair and sofa lounge remained empty of any person, as did the rest of the room until a nurse eventually braved a step into the doorway.
"It's almost time for your session, Dr. Cox," she called in, hesitating to enter fully after all she'd heard from her colleagues. When she got no answer, she nearly passed by to remind the more sociable doctors of their impending sessions but could not bring herself to just let the room alone. The man was unprofessional enough, but he should at least have kept his door closed! Finding her courage, she stepped through the door and shouted, "You better not have any darts this time!" before ducking back into the frame. Just in case he did.
Nothing flew at her though, pointed or otherwise, and nothing did for a few moments following. When she was able to stop herself from bracing, she stepped back up one final time and poked her head into the office, looking around.
"Dr. Cox?"
[The doctor is OUT]
