Night 62: Main Hallway 2-Center
[from here]
It didn't take long to know he'd made the right choice. As he continued walking down the corridor, his attention was immediately drawn to the balcony to their left. Which he actually recognized!
"Hey! Check it out!" He jogged ahead for a few steps, rushing right over to the balcony. He stopped right up against it, one hand braced on the railing as he leaned over it and the other hand aiming his light down into the room below. "We're right above the Son Room!"
So that meant this was that area that he could see when looking up. Sure looked different looking at it from the other side. He hadn't seen any staff patrolling up here or anything before, but the convenient overlook spot had caught his attention as suspicious. He pulled his light up to scan the... big mess of doors all around the balcony area, wow. Suspicious balcony above a suspicious room and surrounded by a bunch of suspicious doors? Sounded like they hit the jackpot!

"We are," he answered, then the irregularity seemed to hit. "--Wait, you've never been up here before?" Even Mikado knew of this location relatively well. Snow had brought them up here with no knowledge of what was around them? His emotions clashed. Dismay at a poor guide against a strange kind of nonchalant acceptance. It wasn't as if Mikado had a place to be, at any rate.

"What?" she asked quickly, looking between the two. Snow had been confident enough, but that surprise... had he really never been up there before?! And he was trying to lead them?!

Now normally, he would have just assumed Ryuu was making conversation rather than seriously asking, but Celty's reaction immediately afterward was enough to make him think otherwise. He actually pulled his attention away from their surroundings and back toward the two of them. They were both looking at him, expectantly. He blinked.
"Huh?" It seemed to finally click that he'd been asked a legitimate question. And he just laughed a little, like it was funny they were even asking at all. "Course not! No point in exploring some place you've already seen, is there?" Come on now. That'd just be silly. "We want answers, we gotta search every nook and cranny!"

Mikado laughed. He couldn't help it, Snow was just-- Did people really act like that where he was from? It was so refreshing, someone that just didn't care about what was around them. Even if Mikado had the bruises to show for that attribute of Snow's, it was still something... So unique. Even Masaomi wasn't this extreme.
"Ah, I guess you're right," he said, swallowing down the rest of the laughter and giving a smile. He wondered idly if he was going crazy, or if he really should just enjoy all of this. It wasn't as if there were any threats to be concerned with. "All right; you're leading." Let's go places that we haven't been before. Why not. He pointed across the way, to the double doors. "I've been in there. It's a chapel with a strange statue. Otherwise, I haven't seen much up here."
