Day 61: Recreation Field (Shift 2)
Loki wasn't entirely thrilled about returning to the recreation field, though he supposed it would be nicer during the day. And without the annoying presence of Riku. Some fresh air would likely do him good; that was what Sif and Thor had always claimed right before they dragged him out of the library.
He wasn't entirely certain if that was a pleasant thought or not. It was still far too mixed up and painful.
He was allowed to go back to his room and pull out every bit of warm clothing he had, bundling up as much as he could. As he followed the nurse out into the field, he also wondered if this meant he would miss out on the greenhouse, since he'd arranged to meet Soma after lunch. That had priority, of course, but he did find plants interesting. At least it was good to know there were activities they were forced to participate in during the day that weren't as horrifically painful as, say, what the music room would indicate.
Good to know that as prisons went, it wasn't all just torture, torture, torture. Some variation was good for the mind.
He wandered along the crunchy, dead grass, for now steering clear of the few other patients. The air felt much better during the day, smelled much better to him as well as he sniffed at it. even if it was cold enough to make his nose hurt. It reminded him uncomfortably of Jotunheim, and...
But at least here, there was sunlight. He wasn't trapped in that dark place as sometimes was in his nightmares.
Loki stopped about halfway down the field, tilting his head back to take in the thin sunlight, his eyes slipping shut.
[Here, angel angel angel... :D Castiel!]

Which was silly, of course. He wouldn't be able to do that for at least another twenty years!
Swiftly regaining his form, Kibitoshin straightened up with a smile- "Goku! It's so-"- before dropping back down with his fingers outstretched again- "- nice to see you!"- and holding the position. It kind of hurt to crane his neck enough to see Goku, but at least on this level they could actually make eye contact.
"Actually, kind of! I'm just stretching off before I take a run. Do you want to come, too?" As he stood up again he found himself gazing hopefully down at the boy. Now that would be an honour, training alongside Son Goku!

"Ready!" Goku announced and waited for Kibitoshin to lead the way. It wasn't as if he could get lost or anything on the camped and flat field they found themselves on. It was no pretty jungle to gawk at while you exercised and there was nothing to chase you to make it that much more invigorating. Oh well, it was better than being cooped up inside on one of those big fluffy couches.

"Alright, let's go!" And with that he was off, setting out at a steady, peaceful jog. Part of him wanted to try a sprint, with how much field there was to run on, but he was also acutely aware of just how short Goku's legs were, and how over-excitable their owner was. Maybe taking it easy to start with was the best policy.
LOL a wise decision Kibi
"So you can use ki, right?" The monkey boy suddenly asked, recalling their fight in the Sun Room a few nights ago. "Where'd ya learn that?" He assumed it was probably from Master Roshi since he didn't know who else really taught or used it except for Krillin and Jackie Chun.
the only one he'll make all day!
Answering the question, though, was still sort of difficult. Kibitoshin found himself frowning, trying to find a way of explaining that wouldn't involve derailing into a long conversation about what a Kaioshin was and the other world, not to mention delving into the matter of his fusion boost. "My fellow guardians taught me," he managed in the end. "Our leader was an amazing fighter. It was an honour to train under him!"
