Night 60: M81-M90 Hallway

Scott was kind of grateful that Landel didn't have anything of note to say beyond his old "muhaha" schtick. The less time he spent mulling over whatever it was the Head Doctor had to say, the more time he could spend hurrying out the door and into the night. He had changed into his green shirt, parka and jeans, and gathered up all his gear well before the end of day announcements. So, by the time the announcements were almost done, he stood ready at the door, hand on the handle. He was itching to get going.

It wasn't that he was in a hurry to get to the basement, oh no. That he was still semi-dreading. No, what he wanted to get to more than anything else right now was a certain ninja delivery girl who also happened to be his girlfriend. If she was still around and not just a figment of his imagination (or a very elaborate bulletin prank), he wanted to catch her before she made it out of the female block tonight.

Maybe she couldn't come with him tonight (he wasn't going to drag Ramona into the basement craziness, and wasn't even sure if he could if he wanted to), but he did want to see her at least. That maybe was selfishness talking, but hey, Scott figured he was allowed to be a little selfish about seeing the people he cared about at this point.

The announcement ended. The door lock clicked. And Scott was off to the races.

After a nice dinner and conversation with his roommate, Brook was ready for the evening to begin, even if it meant things would be going back to normal with the Head Doctor once again in control. He had a newfound desire to go and pilfer the piano once more thanks to the last shift, and doing as much would be just what "the Doctor ordered", so to speak. He'd have a good laugh for it, the event would remind him of his friends, and in the end he'd be able to play a piano whenever he felt like it. Just open the closet and there it would be!

"It's been a while since I've actually acted like a pirate!" he announced with a strong laugh as he exited his room into the hallway.

Tonight was going to be something new: the basement. He'd heard a bit about it, but for the most part, they were going in blind. At least, Mike was. Perhaps Niikura had more intelligence. It wouldn't be the first time he'd done such a thing. Going in blind was something he was used to--just not in this place. Not without his weapons or without some form of intelligence.

They were getting somewhere, though. That was something. A start. He wasn't alone in his efforts, either. That was something, too.

Mike was surprised to see the old military uniform still in his closet, but he changed into it quickly and pulled out his bats from their hiding spot. As annoying as it was, the fabric was thicker and offered more protection against attack.

Once he was finished, he began to move.
