Night 59: East Wing, Hall A

[From here]

"Should be one of these doors here..." She kept her words soft so as not to attract any unwanted attention, but it was ultimately a moot decision. It wouldn't take long to dispose of any refuse that lingered in this hallway and the loud slamming noises of Tifa's foot against the first helpless door weren't exactly quiet.

Her hard kicks were precisely place around the deadbolt in the door. After three, four, Tifa began to believe this was a hopeless cause. There was no damage or dents in the reinforced door at all. Narrowing her eyes at the glowing force field around her, the young woman turned her head to Zack.

"This might not be the right door," she confessed. "Let's keep looking. It can't be the only one..."

Even with depleted powers, Tifa had been able to break open the door to the cleaning closet. It was simply a matter of finding the right one.

He tried to open Water Utilities, fyi!

It would have helped if Tifa had remembered which door it was, but Zack couldn't blame her for forgetting when this hallway had a line of them down either side. This was probably why people made a habit of carrying around maps, wasn't it? Well, they were just going to have to do this the hard way, which meant attempting to kick down each door until one opened for them.

"Hopefully they didn't heighten security," Zack remarked to himself as he moved past Tifa and faced the door next to the one that she had tried. Figuring that kicking it in was probably the way to go here, he mimicked Tifa's method and shoved his boot against the lock a few times.

All he got for his effort was some sore thigh muscles. Sighing, Zack placed his hand against the wall to steady himself and then glanced over at Tifa.

"Kind of sad, isn't it, that we can take down some rotting dogs no problem and then a few doors stop us up." He could have felt humbled by the whole thing, but his guess was that even the most powerful of magic couldn't break through this lock. It had to be enchanted somehow.

They still had five or six doors left to try, at least...
