Night 59: Basement West Hall
[from here]
Once they made it through the door and it had slide smoothly closed behind them there was no mistaking the sound of a final click. Dropping her juice, Ilia turned back around swiftly and reached for the handle. "Wh--Hey!"
Tugging with all her might, Ilia struggled to get the open but it would budge an inch. Frustrated, she slammed a fist against the dark wood, releasing a hiss. "... Damn."
For better or worse, there was no going back now. She turned back to the dimly lit hallway, a grim frown stretched across her face.

Though he guessed he could at least try and be of some help. "Want I should try to up and bust that motherfucker down?" Never mind that whatever abilities he had were probably gone. He didn't care about that. He still figured he could bust down a door the same way he had his first night there.

"Let's see what's in here." Rose didn't bother with cracking the door open; a door of great omen signified either treasure or a trap, and either way, only entering it in earnest would be their reward or undoing.

Once they were safe out in the hall and the doors were once again shut behind them, Ilia felt like she could breathe again. She held out the shield to Rose and a smile spread across her face.
"Here. You were the one to step up as spokesperson in there." That was more than Ilia could say for herself. She liked to think she would have done the same thing if she had been given a few more seconds to collect herself, but that was a moot point. "It's your prize, really."

He finished the ham, licking off his fingers contentedly as though they hadn't just escaped possible death at the hands of a beast that was half man, half cat. The pillowcase was still held securely over his shoulder, and he didn't seem at all bothered by the extra weight yet either. The troll was honestly just happy to follow the others wherever they went, as they had a better idea of where to find, well, anything. There were a bunch of doors around here. Which one would they head through next?
"Yeah, you were right the motherfuck on with that one." He held his fist up to Rose, expecting the appropriate response.

Then she realized Gamzee was awaiting a reply. She smirked, and BUNPED fists. Some things transcended mere cultural barriers, after all.
There was another barrier that could be traversed. "The door is, indeed, open. I suggest we take the Sphinx's riddle as a suggestion."
She didn't wait to see if Ilia would puzzle out her meaning -- two doors, heading off the main hall, in perfect symmetry. Simpler just to proceed there and test her theory herself.
