Night 59: Main Hallway, 1-West
[from here]
Kirk ran into the main hallway and found nothing there except more pink light coating everything. His gut feeling said that if something was happening, it should've happened already, but he was a loss to explain what was going on. The system (if he could call it that, vague as it was to describe the whole Landel's torture/experimentation assembly line) had broken down at least once already, on that night when I.R.I.S. had first(?) appeared, and the whole of the building flickered like a malfunctioning hologram. Was that what the glowing cover was for? To prevent... he didn't know. Something. Something bad enough to warrant a Code Red.
(What had killed that creature?)
Waiting around here was already bad enough on normal nights, what with it being an open space with high traffic, but he'd picked it because it was the quickest and most obvious meeting place for all of them. Now with the whole area lit up like the inside of a strip club, Kirk was starting to feel like a lone piece of meat wrapped in a gold ribbon and tossed out for the wolves. He made a face for a second as he considered the unfortunate implication of mixing those similes, then decided that the dumb thoughts which crossed his mind ranked considerably lower in priority than, you know, paying attention to his surroundings and not getting himself killed.
Kirk swung the lead pipe in his hand once, just to focus, and shook his head as pain rippled out from the still-healing gunshot wound on his right arm. Take it easy, Jim, he admonished himself silently. It was still early in the night. Someone would be along shortly. And if not... he was giving his crew one minute. One minute, and then screw it, he was tracking down everyone himself.

"Ah...good evening, America-san." That question should have been his, but Japan couldn't ask after the bulletin exchange without giving himself away. If he let on that he knew America had information about the experiments here, then America would know that it had been Japan asking for autographs on the bulletin board. And that simply couldn't be allowed to happen. "I am well. Better than that, as I think many are discovering tonight. How are you? I found the flashlight under my--"
Another one. He stopped and turned, hand gripping the sheath of his sword a little tighter. "...Good evening, England-san. I hope you are well tonight." He turned and gave him a proper bow, knowing that England had to be nervous about seeing him with the jacket on, but wanting to show he meant no harm by it. He turned his head back to America to finish answering his question. "As I was just saying, I found the flashlight under my pillow when I arrived. Everyone should have one, I think. It is the basic starting equipment." Here he looked to England as if to ask for confirmation of his assumption.

What was the point in that?
"Hey," he waved with his fingers, noticing the armament on Japan in passing and filing that away for future reference. For the record, he had nothing, but if they were going anywhere, he'd find something. "Decided to dress up this time?" he winked, not exactly kind but teasingly at England. The last he'd seen the guy he was dressed in his own stars and stripes.
"Good to hear you're doing okay, Japan. I cannot rightly complain. That is to say, it could be worse," a lot worse. A lot quieter, but tonight seemed to be their night and not the other way around. Wait, wasn't that a line from some comic book? Anyway. "Y'all would know better than me, anyone got an armory here?"

He raised an eyebrow at America's comment, giving him a chilly look. He hadn't forgotten the nurses actions, the way they'd forced another's flag onto him, not realising or not caring how potent a symbol flags were for their kind. "Merely bringing it up to an acceptable standard," he replied.
"Yes, the torches are in the rooms. There isn't an armoury though. Not as far as I'm aware."
w(;A;w) I'm sorry it took me so long to post - life ate me
Japan tilted his head to one side, sighing to himself as he realized he'd gotten distracted despite his better efforts. "The quality of said weapons can be anything from pipes to...well." He indicated the sword at his side. "This, however, was returned to me by Prussia-kun. Perhaps our first order of business should be arming you, America-san? ...Or at least laying claim to the area in which the armory exists."
Or laying claim to areas in general. Japan still hadn't forgotten his plan to annex the Sun Room and ensure the central location of this facility belonged to him.
It's okay, sorry to have america jump thread so fast orz!
"Actually, I gotta run," it was abrupt, unexpected and he approached and passed Japan with a dismissive clap on his shoulder. "Nothing personal but I gotta deal with something. If you need anything, I'm in room M74, right next to England, here." he flashed England a smile, winking before dashing off without another word. He had the strangest inclination that he recognized someone down the way and he really needed to make sure she didn't run into any trouble tonight.
Heroic intentions and all that. He had plenty of time to save people here and himself and anyone else who might need it. The night being young still he had a hunch that the other nations would be up to something. Probably in his favor-- but it was something he'd have to leave to chance. Shifting into a jog he waved at them both over his shoulder before disappearing down the hall.
Re: It's okay, sorry to have america jump thread so fast orz!
And now I apologise because work was crazy this week >_<
He gave a surprised look when America declared that he had to leave, and eyed him warily. "What on earth has he got to do that's so special?" His lips thinned suspiciously. Was he planning to claim areas while they were held up? Perhaps. He could be sneaky when he wanted to be.
He turned his attention back to Japan. "I think we should claim the armoury before he does," England said. "No-one ever said that he had to be involved in annexing certain places."
same orz and lj hated me for three days
But then talk turned toward annexation and the armory and Japan nodded. Even if he could no longer be an empire here, it was important to create safe zones for his people and to claim the Sun Room for the principle of the thing. Japan nodded and motioned forward. "Perhaps this way? I think the armory may be somewhere in this direction."
